Chapter 8 (Reasons)

Sana's POV

It's been a day since the incident happened in the chapel, and classes were suspended because they need to investigate.

Mrs. Chou didn't mention me in any of her statements and she told me to leave before the police and the ambulance came.

Tzuyu was unconscious when I left, and it hurt me when I saw him lying down on his mother's lap fighting for his own life.

They removed me from the scene to not gain any attention from the population of the school, and it was effective. All they instructed me to do was to stay silent and act like I didn't see or hear anything.

"Mina... I'm going to visit someone..." I said before I leave the dorm.

"Okay... Message me what time you're going home..." She said.

I nodded and left.

I went straight to the hospital and since he's part of the Chou family, his room has the highest security guards. They had to call his mom to let me in his room.

His dad was sent to jail for attempted murder and I don't have any news from them since last night.

The moment I sat down next to him, his eyes slowly opened and his hand reached for mine.

I called his doctor and they checked him.

They said that everything is normal, and he needs lots of rest because he lost a lot of blood from the gunshot.

"Sana..." He said.

"Tzuyu..." I said and held his hand.

"Where's mom and dad?" He asked.

"I don't know... I'm sure they're taking care of the case..." I said.

"Where's dad?" He asked.

"He's... In jail..." I said.

"Tell mom... I'll bail him out..." He said.

I nodded and smiled at him.

"Did you get hurt?" He asked.

"No... You made me so worried..." I said.

"Why were you there?" He asked.

"I... Was doing something in the office... And I saw you walking to the chapel... So I followed you." I said.

"It's been a while since we saw each other... Are you avoiding me?" He asked.

"No... Tzu... I'm just... Busy..." I said.

"Sana... I hope whatever you heard and saw... Will never come out..." He said.

"I won't tell anyone... I promise..." I said.

He smiled at me and breathed deeply.

"Take some rest..." I said.

"Don't leave yet..." He said.

"I won't... I'll be here when you wake up..." I said.

He then fell asleep again and I stayed until his parents came.

After a week, he was discharged from the hospital and he surely lost a lot of weight because he couldn't eat normally.

All he could eat was blended food or just soup.

"Tzu! How's your wound?" I asked as I saw him in the office doing something on his table.

"Getting better..." He said.

"You can eat now?" I asked as I noticed a meal next to him.

"Just a little... I have to chew thoroughly..." He said.
