William Boyd (Hopalong Cassidy) came to the Badlands to make a film.
After a dusty day's work, he took a long bath under a shade tree.
A wildcat smelled the human and stalked closer, seeing the shiny black boots by the tub.
It pounced, tearing the boots to shreds.
Hoppy grabbed his gun beside the tub and shot the cat dead.
A rider came by and saw Hoppy beside the dead cat, then he saw
the shredded footwear and asked nervously,
"Pardon me, Boyd, is that the cat that chewed your new shoes?
