Her family spent new year's eve and day together.

Gemma came up to her and handed her a glass of grape juice. "Are you upset with me?"

"Come on, Gemma. Don't act like this now."

"Act like what?"

"Like you want to be around me now."

"I always want to be aroud you, Ruby."

"You and I both know that's not true. I won't fight with you tonight because it's New Year's day."

Gemma sighed and finished passing around the grape juice.

Jasper texted her and she smiled. She was missing him but was hoping he was having a good time with his family and Amethyst. She would tell him about her conversation with Gemma when she got back.
