Chapter 5

Jasper found Ruby in the ballroom. "I thought I'd find you here," Jasper grinned and kissed Ruby on the cheek.

"Yeah, Collin asked me to decorate the ballroom for Valentine's Day."

"It looks beautiful. You have the decorator's touch," Jasper complimented Ruby and she blushed

"You flatter me. I just have a few more things to do, and we can go out"

"Ruby, I think we should stay in here."

"Why?"

"There's a large werewolf outside," Jasper warned. Ruby slowly turned to get a look at the monster.

"I-

The werewolf growled startling Ruby so much that she grabbed Jasper's hand without thinking.

'What do we do?" Ruby asked.

"I- don't know. If we want out of here, we're going to have to fight him."

"I can't fight him."

"You can. I believe in you."

Ruby searched for something silver and threw it at the werewolf. He winced and limped away.

"Are you okay?" Jasper asked.

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine. Are you?"

  "I'm okay," Jasper reassured Ruby and wrapped his arms around her as they walked to the headmaster's office.
