Ikigai - (Japanese) A reason for being. The thing that gets you up in the morning.

Hello again, dear writer friends. About two years ago I left WattPad, saying how I needed to find a purpose in the real world and focus on pursuing my dreams.

In these past two years, my dreams have gone through so many phases of evolution - and I myself have changed so much - I hardly feel like the same person. In some ways this is sad, but in most, it has been exciting, instructing, and very very healthy.

And, yes, I know that I said I would not be coming back for 20 years. This book of poetry is not a comeback - rather a distant "Hello again!" Think of it as a voicemail from a long-lost friend who now lives thousands of miles away:

Hello! It's been so long - I miss you so much. I hope you're having a wonderful life! I pray for you all the time. If you ever want to catch up, just give me a call. I'll be on the grid for about a week, then it's off for a few more years!

So whether you are an old friend returning, or a new friend coming for the first time - welcome. I used to post poetry and stories for the attention and praise. This time, I have decided to share these poems with you in hopes that some of them may touch your life. Perhaps you will feel that you are not alone. Perhaps you will be inspired to dream. Or perhaps you will simply feel the relaxation of reading a kind, familiar voice. Whichever of these - if any - you find in the following poems, this collection is my gift to you.

Farewell to 2023, hello to 2024 and all the years that follow. I hope you have a wonderful, uplifting life, full of positive growth and powerfully fulfilling relationships.

See you soon.
