A New Year's To Remember!

Ash and Chloe had invited all their old friends to their house for New Year's. Goh and Serena came early to help prepare for the party, bringing along Gabby and Sam. The four kids went to Carson's room to play while the adults cleaned out the attic for party supplies, with Ash and Chloe's eldest daughter Liko, the 16 year old staying in her own room. "Hey Ash, isn't this your old vampire cape?" Goh asked, with a dusty and old black cape in his hands. "Oh yeah, it is," Ash responded. "Oh from our first Halloween? I'll always remember that night." Chloe said, as Ash and Chloe looked at each other lovingly. "I hate to break up this lovely moment, but why did I find a jar with some sort of broken bone in it?" Serena asked. "Is that the wishbone? Oh man I can barely remember it, man that was so long ago." Goh said once he saw the familiar bone. "A wishbone?" Chloe asked. "Yeah, what did you wish for again?" Goh asked. "That Chloe and I would go to the next level." Ash said nervously.  "That was you!? All this time I thought it was weird that I went from not wanting to rush things to wanting to progress our relationship, but It was you and a wishbone?!" Chloe said in shock. "Yep, I kept it as a sort of thank you, otherwise we would still be dating." Ash joked, and everyone had a good laugh. Serena found an old ribbon, and asked Chloe about it. "Hey Chloe, did you do more Pokemon Contests?" Serena asked. "No, the only one I did was with you, why?" Chloe responded. " I just found this ribbon," Serena said, holding the old ribbon. "Oh that, it was around a bunch of flowers Ash got me on our first Christmas together! He made it himself, isn't that romantic?" Chloe said. "Yeah, it sure is." Serena said. Meanwhile, with Ash and Goh, Goh had found an old photo with Ash, Chloe and all their Pokemon on it, it was clearly hand drawn and old. "Hey Ash, what's this?" Goh asked. "Oh that's the photo Chloe had Talia draw for me for Valentines Day! Isn't it neat?" Ash responded. "Yeah, I mean it's the thought that counts". Goh said. Back with the girls, Serena had something to say about an upcoming holiday. "Man, I dread April Fools Chloe, I know it's weird to say now, but every year Goh pranks me all day, and with Gabby being a daddy's girl the two are a monster duo." Serena said, sighing. "Oh, Ash used to prank me a lot before we had Liko, here's a little tip," Chloe said before whispering in Serena's ear. Meanwhile, with the kids, all four of them were playing a card game. "Say, Carson, where'd you meet Nova?" Gabby said, trying to drum up a conversation. "I won him as an egg during an Easter contest a while back." Carson said "It's true! I was there!" Abby added in excitedly. "Woah" Sam said, as he wasn't told the story before. "Hey Gabby, do you still have that globe you won during the Earth Day contest?" Abby asked. "Yep, still do, I hope next year I help out the Earth in more ways than one, it's our planet! And we need to help it with the palms in our hands! The rest of the kids agreed with her saying. The adults have found the decorations and have begun decorating the house. While doing so, Goh spots a handmade drawing of Carson and Chloe framed on the wall. "Aw, Chloe, this is so cute! Did Carson make this?" Goh asked. "Yeah, he made it for me on Mother's Day," Chloe said. "Gabby made me something similar for Father's Day, man, I hope next year, my relationship with my kids will get better!" Goh said. "I hope the same goes for my kids." Chloe responded. Meanwhile, with Ash and Serena. "Aw, this is cute!" Serena said, looking at a Pichu plushie. "Oh yeah, Abby gave me that for Father's Day." Ash said. "Sam gave me an Eevee plush for Mother's Day, man I hope in the new year I have a better relationship with the kids than I have now." Serena said. "Same here." Ash said. Back with the kids, they were talking about their experience during the Fourth Of July. "I still can't believe there was a carnival." Abby said. "Yeah, yeah don't rub it in." Carson responded. "You guys know the plan right?" Gabby asked. The four kids had an idea to end off the year. "Y-Yeah, still a bit nervous," Sam said. "Why? The grown ups do it all the time." Abby responded. Carson and Gabby both nodded, calming down Sam. The adults finished decorating, and their guests started arriving. Eventually it was ten seconds till midnight, and everyone was getting ready to countdown. As soon as it ended, all the couples kissed, with four unexpected people joining. Gabby and Carson, Sam and Abby the pairs kissed, thinking nothing was wrong. "Carson, Abby, what are you doing?!" Liko asked when seeing them. The parents looked over and saw the sight, shocked to the core. "What? All the adults do it." Abby said. The parents couldn't help but laugh at their kids. "Honey, you have to be old enough to kiss people ." Chloe said. Even with that unexpected turn, the two families knew that this new year and others would be great, no matter what.
