"Mama, please. I'll be safe I promise." A 16 year old Ma'Kai said, pleading with her mother
"Alright Ma'Kai. You stay with your brother now." Ma'Kai's mother said
"Thank you ma." Ma'Kai said before she walked hurriedly back to Shamir's room
"Ma said I could go." Ma'Kai said as she sat on his bed with a smile
"Mmtch, alright. You can hang wit me but not all night, aight?" Shamir said as he rolled his eyes
"Yeah, yeah. Siah's coming. I wont bother you." Ma'Kai said as she looked at Nasiah , who was smiling at her enthusiasm
"Aight, well come on. Go get ready." Shamir said
Ma'Kai walked out of her brother's going to hers, with Nasiah following.
"You excited for your first New Years party huh?" Nasiah said as she sat down and watched Ma'Kai pick out her clothes
"Yeah, I wanna feel like I'm in the movies forreal." Ma'Kai said
Ma'Kai, as a newly 16 year old, wanted to have that movie highschool experience, like most teens.
Her mother was protective of her naturally, but she still let her go places. But never this late.
