This is too much. Maybe I've been a little too ambitious.
Those thoughts rang in Nasiah's head as she sat in her car outside the art gallery where her work was.
Today it was going to be open to the public.
She's pretty nervous if you couldn't tell. It was to be expected, since this is her first pretty big exhibit.
There were also other professionals coming to vote on the top 3 works, so there was added pressure.
Nasiah never thought that nerves would get to her. She was a pretty cool headed person. But now she was trying not to wipe the sweat from her hands on her dress.
But now she was already here. Her work was already in the building. There was no turning back. She had to lock in.
Although, her pep talk was pretty convincing to herself, she was still super nervous.
She felt like she needed some gum. Doing something else always helped her relax when she got this nervous.
The sudden notification startled her out of her thoughts. That served as a reminder that maybe she should mute her phone when the showcase started.
Nevertheless, she picked up her phone to see what the notification was.
Nasiah's eyebrows furrowed when she saw a misses call from Ma'Kai.
She wouldn't miss a call from Ma'Kai, and she didn't have on do not disturb or anything, so she was confused. Maybe her stressing out knocked her out of reality so much she didn't even hear her phone.
