*Kathryn's POV*
I knew Niall's family was long gone, in more ways than one, but I couldn't help but think. Maybe someone came back to this sleepy town. There had to be someone. He had a brother didn't he? I dragged him out that morning and he fought me the entire way.
"I'm Irish born and raised Katy what makes you think that anyone would move to a town my own family didn't stay in. I told you before, my family's in Ireland."He said as I pulled him across the graveyard.
"I just have a feeling."I said as we neared his grave. He whined loudly in protest which I ignored. We stopped in front of the grey stone.
"Niall James Horan, beloved brother and son."I read and he sighed.
"My heap of crushed bones that no one ever visits lies beneath your feet. Why does no one ever visit? I have no one, that's why."He grumbled."Now, let's go home."I heard rustling behind us and I turned to see a black haired girl coming up behind us.
"Where's she going?"Niall asked himself his mouth dropping open when she kneeled in front of his grave.
"Hey Grandpa."
*Niall's POV*
I couldn't believe my ears. Did she really just call me Grandpa? The girl took a deep breath in.
"I'm your great-great granddaughter, I'm from Mullingar, like you. My great-great Grandmum's name was Lillian Patrick."My eyes grew wide as I remembered that girl and what we'd done that we shouldn't have. I had left her in that condition, I felt terrible. People must have treated her like shit.
"My Great Grandmum is taking a rest a few rows back, we came here to find you. She insisted on visiting you."I turned to Kathryn.
"We were together when I was in Ireland. I loved her, but her parents wouldn't let us get married. I moved away in 1919, but before I did we, well."I felt my face heat up.
"I understand Niall."She said."Look, you have family."I nodded, I had a family. An old lady with white hair and bright blue eyes hobbled up the path surprisingly quick for how old she looked. She has to be at least 92 to be my daughter.
