A/N: if you don't like seeing someone like Hercules (Heracles in this story as that is his Greek name and this is based on Greek mythology) then I suggest you scroll past. I also mention death and Thanatos (god of death).
"You are weak. Just like the rest of your people. They did not deserve to live in this world. My world" he told me, looking down at me.
I looked up at him and spit at him, "You're despicable. My people didn't deserve to die at your hands. My people worshiped you and all you did was kill them. I pity you more than I hate you."
"Pity me?!" He laughs then leans down so he is right in my face, "pity is for the weak, I am not weak."
He grabs my face and roughly looks me over. I try to get out of his grasp but he holds on tight. I will probably have a bruise later. He then smiles and lets go of me, "I pity you. You are fighting for nothing and you will die for nothing."
"I am fighting for my people. My people you killed. My people who wanted a better life. Who prayed and asked you to save them. I'm fighting for my loves, for my children, for my family. All of which you killed. And made me watch. I'm fighting because you never gave them the chance. You are not a hero, you never have been and you never will."
He laughs so hard tears come out of his eyes, "I'm not the hero? Yes I am. Read any story about Heracles and it'll show you that you are wrong. I am the hero and you are a poor confused child compared to me. I am immortal and you are just mortal."
I sit up as best as I can, while still being chained to the floor, "Every hero can become a villain if they're alive long enough. Except you never were the hero. All you did was take credit for what others did. What women did. Because you couldn't handle that women were stronger than you."
"Girls are weak. All you're good for is making babies and that's it. And you chose to watch them die. It's not my fault."
"I chose?! I did not choose to watch them die. I sat there and I tried to close my eyes while you forced them open. No, I did not choose. You fucking asshole. I hope you burn for the rest of eternity. In the darkest pits of Tartarus. And kill me if you must. I am ready for death and Thanatos has been waiting for me. So kill me and I can see my loves again"Word count: 415
A/N: I am a huge fan of showing a different side of "heroes" such as Heracles. Not everyone is perfect and even those who are heroes can make mistakes where people get hurt in the process.
