"Look at her, do you think she'll be easy?" Josh, clearly the leader of the boys, snickers, nodding his head towards the girl.
Ashton glances across the cafeteria at said girl. Azalea is her name, Azalea Dashner. She is a senior, just like Ashton. And she goes to his new school.
Yeah, the similarities end just about there.
Azalea has the face of an innocent, one that would fit in jewelry and heels and lots of pink blush. But even she can't fool an idiot. Her daily outfit consists of a studded leather jacket, ripped acid wash jeans, and combat boots, as if she is ready for a fist fight.
And most importantly, Azalea Dashner is not easy-to-get. At all.
Legend says that for the years since she came to Westland High, 95% of the male population has attempted to ask her out. (The other 5% were in 'committed relationships' or were simply gay.) They were all sent home with a death wish and a big ass rejection.
"She's probably got a fucking mousetrap on that vag. Nothing will get those jeans off," Josh says, making the whole table erupt in laughter.
Ashton smiles at the challenge. "I bet I can." The entire lunch table falls into silence.
A boy finally speaks up. "Yeah? Go ahead, pretty boy, give the mousetrap a try," he says.
Ashton shrugs. "Okay, why not?" He pushes back his chair and stands up to stare at the sea of confused faces.
"You will?" A senior asks, dumbfounded. "Dude. Not a lot of new kids get to sit with us on the first day, but we like you. You're a good-lookin' lad, smart. And you should know that a girl like her messes you up pretty bad."
He's giving a warning, Ashton realizes. So what? This girl might dress in leather and hate boys, but he is different. There was not a single girl that has ever refused his charms. (I mean, who would? He was gorgeous.)
"Come on, let the new kid try." A voice pipes up from the crowd.
"All right." Josh grins mischievously. "Good luck, Irwin. I hope you get out alive."
Yessssss, as you can see, AZALEA from book 1 has appeared :') This story will be about her, Ashton, and Calum, obviously, her best friend.
It won't be related to the last book; it's basically a whole new story so don't worry if you haven't read Project Publicity XD
