Hi again!

For those of you who have been waiting for a new book the time has finally come! I've been taking a little break whilst I've been writing my dissertation and battling some really tricky health issues. Whilst I still have around a month of dissertation writing and a potential lifetime of shitty health and hospital appointments to go, I've been writing chapters in my free time so I can get ahead of myself and I'm finally ready to start publishing them!

This storyline is based around season 16, with grey-haired Prentiss having recently accepted her position as Section Chief of the BAU. Unlike my last season 16 story it differs a lot from the actual storyline of the series. Bailey isn't involved in this book and there is no mention of Sicarious and the ongoing case. Although I will be making a 2nd Forbidden Affairs book when the new season of Criminal Minds comes out, this is not the second book, I just wanted to write about season 16 Emily Prentiss again.

Naturally, this book will see a relationship occur between Emily and the reader, but it's a slow burner this time (you'll see why when you read the first chapter!). I'm fully aware that the smut in the last few books have been my most popular chapters, but I'm hoping you'll bear with me whilst I set the scene!

The reader in this book is a switch (as is Emily). I noticed after writing the reader in as a top and a bottom that lots of you commented that you preferred it either one way or the other so I wanted to make this book a little more inclusive and hopefully please you all!

A few general things to note:
-sentences in italics are your thoughts/memories unless used in speech for emphasis
-Chapters with an asterisk (*) in the title contain smut (sexual content)
-I use they/them pronouns for the reader to make it more inclusive for everybody (and also because I use they/them pronouns myself)
-I will likely post weekly (every Tuesday from now on) so that I don't end up behind on writing with everything else going on
-Throughout the book I will touch on sensitive topics that may be triggering or upsetting for some readers. Generally, mental health and violence will factor into the book a lot, but to avoid any spoilers I'm choosing not to include specific content warnings in my chapters. However, please feel free to message me if you'd like any warnings for each chapter. I'm more than happy to disclose content if it would make you more comfortable.

I love reading your comments and messages on and about my books so please let me know how you're feeling about it so far. Whilst I enjoy writing fanfiction, it's just as much for you as it is for me and your feedback really does have an impact on what and how I write.
