Aurora's only wishes is to make her father proud and finish school, but will she have the same wishes after she meets someone she's supposed to be working with.
I wake up and don't feel Mattheo next to me. I turn around and see that he's not there. Just perfect. I roll on my stomach, putting my face in my pillow. I push myself up and get off the bed reluctantly. I look over and see that there's a note on the stand under the TV. I bend down and pick up my phone, shoving it in my hoodie pocket before walking over to the stand to look at the note.
"I went out for a little while to get some stuff. In the meantime, I got you some stuff in your room. Hope you like it".
I set the note down and walked into my room wondering what he did. I open the door and see the bed is all decorated in my favorite color. The wall has the words "Happy b-day" on them and there are flower petals on the bed making a heart with fake candles outlining it. There are blue balloons shaped as hearts floating above my bed with the strings dangling down. There's an arch running over the top of my bed from the ground that's also all blue.

I grab my phone out of my pocket and open my messages. I open mine and Mattheos messages and text him.
Aurora:
"Thank you so much for this. It's amazing. When are you getting back?"
He replied back almost instantly.
Mattheo:
"I'm not sure love, I'm just running a few errands. I promise I'll be back as soon as I can. Make sure you're ready when I get back, we have to go shopping for today."
Aurora:
"Okay 🙂"
I close my phone, walk to the cabinet that had the towels in it, grab one, and walk into the bathroom. I go to the shower and turn it on. I take my clothes off and got in. I quickly took a shower and then get out. I wrap my towel around me and walk to the sink. I go into my medicine cabinet and get my toothbrush and toothpaste out. I brush my teeth and then walk into my closet to get ready. I look at all my clothes and end up picking out a short black crop top with black flare leggings. I walk over to my vanity and sit down. I blow dry and straighten my hair, grabbing some sunglasses and putting them on my head. I walk back to the closet and pick out a pair of all white air forces before going into Mattheos room and stealing an all-white button-down dress shirt. I go into his bathroom and some pictures.

I turn to walk out of the bathroom and see Mattheo standing in the door frame wanting me take pictures. I place my phone on my pocket and walk up to him and he grabs both my hand before leaning down and placing a kiss on my forehead. He stands a little straighter and cups my face. " Are you ready to go?". I smile and nod my head yes. With that he grabs my hand and leads me to the car. Once we get there he opens my door and moves over giving me room to get in. I sit down and he closes the door and starts walking to his side. I put my seat belt on while he gets in the car. He sticks the key in the ignition and starts driving. He instinctively puts his hand on my thigh without looking up. I stick my hand out waiting for him to give me what i want. He looks down at my hand and chuckles. He moves his hand from my thigh and reaches into his pocket pulling out his phone and hands it to me. I smile as i grab it and connect to the Bluetooth.
He puts his hand back on my thigh and refocus on the road. I put on Taylor Swift " Cardigan". I turned it up to where it was blasting and sang along waiting for my favorite part to come on. I hear that its about come so i turn it up even more and start screaming. " TO KISS IN CARS, AND DOWNTOWN BARS. WAS ALL WE NEEDED. YOU DREW STARS AROUND MY SCARS. BUT NOW I'M BLEEDING". I keep singing until the song was over and then just listen to whats on for about thirty minutes. I start to get a little bored so I look over at Mattheo. "So where are we going?". He looks at me for a second and then back to the road smiling. "Its a surprise". " Okay but i just wanna let if you kidnap me ill have to beat your ass". I laugh a little bit and smile at him. " Im a thousand percent sure you would try." He chuckles at the thought of me " trying" to beat him in a fight. I scoff knowing i could win.
I've been trained to fight since i was a kid. He hasnt even been in a gang for two weeks and his ego is already huge. "Okay, you and I need to spar sometime so i can show you how easly i can beat you up". He looks at me smirking before putting his eyes on the road. " Okay, your on". I look at him with a smile as we pull into a Starbucks. I sit up a little more in my seat and look at Mattheo. "Why drive all the way out here just to get me Starbucks? Theres one by the house. "Well after here we discussed taking you shopping". I smile and when we pull up to the window and the lady starts talking. " What can i get you?". He turns to the window ready to say my order.
I was about to tell him what it was but before i could he opens his mouth to order. " Can i get a caramel Frappuccino". I look at him confused on how he knew my order. " That'll be 9.95". He starts to drive to the window so i shift his way. "How did you know my order?". He looks at me and lightly smiles " I asked Ryan. Where all gonna hang out today. If that's okay with you?". I smile at the thought that i have people to hang out with for my birthday. I know its not a big deal to most but it is to me. I've never had friends because my dad. But now that i do i don't have to be alone all the time. A smile grows on my face as i say " Thats perfect". The window opens and a lady tells us our total. Mattheo gives her the money and she hands his my coffee. He hands it to me smiling. " Here you go miss".
I take it from his hand and take a sip as he's pulling out of the parking lot. He looks at me for a second before hesitating to speak. " What is it?" " Well i-. Can i ask you a question?". I look a little confused but am curios as to what the question is. " Sure". I smile a little at the fact that he's nervous. " Why have you never had friends?". My smile drops a little. " I told you i wasn't allowed to have friends outside of the gang". " Thats your fathers reason. You could have easily just kept it a secret". He glances at me with a small frown.
If i think about i always just used that as an excuse. It's easer to say then why a really didn't have friend's. I look at him with glassy eyes. "I guess I didn't want to get attached to someone who could leave. That's why i didn't was to get attached to you. You could leave at any minute and i couldnt stop you. But the more time i spend with you the more i feel myself getting attached and i cant stop myself. I dont want to get hurt but I realized I'm not happy being alone either. At least if you leave i had moments of happiness to look back to".
I look down at my hands and feel Mattheo start to pull over. Once we stop completely he unbuckles his seatbelt and then reaches to my seat belt buckle and unbuckles it. He makes his chair go back so that there's a big distance between him and the steering wheel. He reaches over and pulls me onto his lap. "I'm not going to leave you Aurora. Your one of the best things in my life." He kisses me softly while my hands go to his hair. I pull away and set my forehead on his.

- I'm so sorry that its been taking so long. I just got back from vacation and was able to finish this chapter. I promise I'm going to be working as fast as i can to get the next part done and posted.
