Aurora's only wishes is to make her father proud and finish school, but will she have the same wishes after she meets someone she's supposed to be working with.
We pull up to the movie theater that looks pretty empty. "We're watching a movie?". He looks at me and smiles. "Yep". We park in a spot that has one open next to it. Ryan pulls into the one we left him. I look at Mattheo and smile. "I don't think people come to the movies in the daytime". He looks at me and chuckles. "Exactly". He gets out of the car and goes to my side. He opens the door for me and I step out. He closes the door as Ryan and Nala walk over to use. I see Ryan grab Nalas hand making Mattheo glance at Ryan but he doesn't seem to notice. I look at Mattheo and think of something. "Mattheo crouches down"
He looks at me weirdly but when i walk behind him and put my hands on his shoulders he understood what i wanted to do. He crouched down and put his arms back a little ready to catch me. I jump on his back and wrap my arms and legs around him. He puts his hands on my thighs so I don't slip and we begin walking. Once we're inside I get off of him and start looking around. I haven't been to the movies in a couple years and when I did go I went by myself. I can't even remember the movies that I watched. We walk up to the desk and Mattheo looks at Nala. She looks at him and nods her head before sticking her hand out for Mattheo to give her something. He reaches into his pocket and hands her his credit card before turning away. Nala grabs my hand and pulls me toward the concessions. I look at Mattheo but his head is turned away from me and he's talking to the man working.
I look at Nala and see her scanning the menu. "So why did you take me away from my boy-" I stop myself. I don't know if i could call him my boyfriend. I know that we do everything that a couple does but we haven't really used labels. He hasn't officially asked me to be his girlfriend so i don't know what to call him. Nala looks at me confused "Why did you stop?". I look at her awkwardly. "Well we haven't really made it official yet." I look down and start playing with my fingers. I start getting really nervous at the fact that he hasn't made it official. Especially when we act like we are in front of people.
"HE HASN'T ASKED YOU TO BE HIS GIRLFRIEND?! I quickly cover her mouth."SHHHHH. I don't want to make it a big deal". I slowly remove my hands from her mouth and look at her. "Well then, I'm sure he'll ask soon". She smiles at me and I smile back. Nala's eyes look above me and she smiles. I smile as I feel my hand go around my waist and a face buried into my neck. "Well hello there" I chuckle a little and turn around so I'm facing him. He leans down and kisses me before looking up at the menu. "What do you want?" I turn and look at the menu. "Can I just get a slushie?". "Aurora." Mattheo says in a stern voice I turn around and look at him confused. "Pick something to eat". I look at him confused before realizing. He knows. I look at him and see the sadness in his eyes hiding behind his straight face.
Before I say something, he grabs my hand and walks to the nearest bathroom. He pulls me in with him and turns around, softening his face as he looks at me. " Please just eat something. It doesn't have to be a lot. Just a couple of bites". I grab his face and kiss him " A couple bites. Plus you come to the gym with me tomorrow". He looks at me and smiles. "Deal". He grabs my hand again and walks us back out the bathroom. We walk up to Nala and Ryan who are all up on each other. His hands are around her waist and hers are on his shoulder. The second Nala looks over at us and sees Mattheo she moves away from Ryan. We walk up and I see Mattheo death starring Ryan. I grab Mattheos hand and clear my throat. "Lets order something". Mattheo looks down at me as i pull him up to the counter to order. I look back at Nala as she's walking up beside us. "I order mine and Mattheo and you order yours and Ryans?" She shook her head yes at me and turned to Ryan. They started talking about what they were going to order as I turned to Mattheo. "Do I have to get food food?".
He chuckles at that but I just look at him confused. "What exactly is food food?" He asks. I look at the menu and then back at him. "I was just wondering if popcorn is considered food". He smiles a little and then pulls me in by my waist. "Popcorn is considered food".I smile as a guy walks up on the other side of the counter and looks at us. "Are you guys ready to order". He looks at me and I nod. He lets go of me and turns towards the worker. "Can I get two slushies. One blue, one red and a large popcorn?" He taps the screen to put our orders in. "Is that all?". "No". I look at Nala and she begins ordering what they want. "The total will be thirty five ninety nine". Mattheo hands the guy his credit card. The worker swipes it and hands it back.
We wait for about five minutes before the worker hands us our stuff and we leave to find what screening room we're in. Unfortunately since the movie was a surprise to me I had to walk the halls with my eyes covered. Which is way harder than it sounds considering Mattheo is a terrible guide. I almost tripped twice which would have been bad considering I have my drink in my hand. We eventually made it there and once we entered the room Mattheo uncovered my eyes.
I open my eyes and see that it's completely empty. I look at Mattheo in confusion. "Why isn't there anyone here?". Nala excitedly jumps into it. "My brother rented out the whole screening room. I look back at Mattheo in shock. "What can I say. Your father pays well. He shrugs as I chuckle. It's been nice with my father gone. He rarely leaves the house. Nala grabs my hand and starts running through the isles. I followed her carefully, not to drop my drink. She pulls me up to one of the back rows and sits down. Mattheo walks up to us and walks through the ile to get to me and Ryan walks halfway to sit on the other side of Nala. We all start posting pictures and talking while we wait for the movie to start.
