CRIES and whines come from sebastion's bedroom. chris not even capable of opening his eyes, putting his silk pillow over his head to burry out the nagging of his two year old son. it was five o'clock in the morning, and he was beyond exhausted.
"cynthia, can you please go to him?" chris softly begged. cynthia took of her sleeping mask, giving chris a snarky expression.
"can't you tell i'm getting my beauty sleep honey?" cynthia murmured. all chris wanted cynthia to do was to act like a good mother to their child. yet, he felt like she never was giving fifty-fifty in this relationship.
cynthia put her sleeping mask back on her fresh set of eyelashes. chris lifted the blanket off of him from his side of the bed and made his way to sebastian's room.
"sebby, whats wrong?" chris asked politely. he was about to pick him up when sebastian slapped his arm away.
"no! i want mommy, not you. mommy!" sebastian shouted. chris didn't realize how much having a child teaches you how to become patient.
"seb, mommy is sleeping okay? but, i am here." chris replied, giving his son a little smile. sebastian looked defeated, letting his dad pick him up.
"i like that person, daddy." sebastian said. chris immediately furrowed his eyebrows.
"what? what person seb?" he asked his son. sebastian rubbed his eyes and yawned.
"that person mommy had here. he asked if i liked spiderman and promised me he would buy me the toy i wanted." he replied. chris felt empty in this moment. yet, sebastian was too innocent for this situation between his parents.
"sebby, that man is bad. if you ever see him here again, you better scream and cry until mom gets mad okay? if daddy is not there, do that for me." chris said.
who was this man cynthia brought over? was it the same man he caught her in their shower with? or was this just another man on her hit list?
chris finally gets sebastian to be quiet and go to sleep, feeling proud of himself. he walked back to his bedroom, laying back down next to cynthia.
he closed his eyes, trying to go back to sleep. he kept tossing and turning, trying to kick out what his son said to him out of his head.
"cynthia.." he whispered out. she lets out a little groan, indicating she can hear him.
"i think it's time we finally get a nanny."
