NERVOUS was an understatement for what gabriella was feeling. she was walking up towards cynthia sturniolo's house —- a mansion infact. it was a beautiful home, with lots of land. she wanted to make a perfect first impression. even if it wasn't cynthia who she was meeting, it was her husband, but that didn't even matter to gabriella.

she brushed her skirt to flatten it out. she wanted to look presentable, not like some hooker, she thought to herself. it wasn't that her skirt was too shirt or that her shirt was hanging too low, she just knew how most men were. and that is definitely not how she was trying to come across as.

she brought her hand out, pressing her finger against the doorbell. this was the fanciest doorbell gabriella has ever seen, but she knew she shouldn't be shocked about it.

the grey wood door opened up, chris standing right infront of gabriella as she is waiting outside. his friendly smile quickly dropped, as he froze in place.

"gabriella..?" chris said with confusion laced in his voice. gabriella couldn't believe it. was she at the right house? how on earth was he the husband to cynthia sturniolo?

"oh my god. you're the man who bought my painting at the park. tristan was it?" gabriella asked. chris began to feel extremely awkward, that the beautiful girl didn't even remember his name and he thought about her since he saw her sitting on the grass with her friend.

"uh, n-no. it's chris." he awkwardly laughed. she shot him a smile, lightly smacking her head.

"oh, yes yes! chris. how are you? your wife is cynthia sturniolo!?" she said.

"indeed she is. she told me to expect people to come to the house that wanted to be our nanny.." he replied. she nodded, smiling. chris was beginning to overthink. was he the only one who thought this was awkward? —- he thought to himself.

"well, c-come in." chris insisted, opening the door a tad more to welcome her in his home. she thanked him as she walked inside, holding her purse with both of her hands. her eyes scanned through the whole house, taking it all in.

"you have a beautiful house mr. sturniolo" she said. he took her bag from her and put it on the front table.

"thank you very much, gabi." he said as she quickly looked at him after he called her by her nickname, "i.. uh sorry i mean gabriella. my apologies." he began to run his hands through his curls, fidgeting in his place.

she walked around some more, she couldn't get over how breathtaking their house was. loud footsteps coming from upstairs. "daddy!" sebastian shouted out.

"and perfect, you have met sebby already." chris smiled at her, walking up the stairs to grab the little boy. he walked back downstairs and dropped sebastian on the floor.

"hi sebastian! remember me?" gabriella said in a sweet tone, bending down to be eye level with sebastian.

"yeah, my daddy put your painting up." he said as he ran to the living room, "see!" he pointed up at the portrait. gabriella quickly followed him into the living room, he had the biggest smile on his face and tried touching the painting but obviously failed to.

gabriella turned around to see chris leaning against the wall, "you hung it up?" she whispered. his face was starting to turn red.

"o-of course i did. i told you it was beautiful.." he replied.

gabriella felt warm inside —- it was the feeling she was earning for as an artist. feeling accomplished that the person that buys her work puts it to good use. and chris was doing exactly that.

sebby ran towards gabriella, wrapping his arms around her feet. she lightly puts her hand on his back and smiled before she looked up at chris. "thank you.." she mouthed to chris. she truly felt happy that he put her painting up in his gorgeous home.

"please be my nanny! i want you, i want you! i hated the other girl that just came. she had so many wrinkles." sebby cried out to gabriella. she couldn't help but laugh at the little boy, chris joining.

"hey son, that was mean! it wasn't her fault that she was a grandma and owned six cats." he said, attempting to have a straight face on.

"daddy, i want gabwiella." he said, not being able to pronounce her name correctly.

"well.." chris said, "i guess the decision was made." he added, with a little smile as he shrugged his shoulders.
