ISABELLA was gabriella's biggest role model in her life. she was her older sister, as well as her built in best friend. growing up, since it was just the two of them and their parents —all gabriella wanted to do was to be a mini version of isabella.
isabella was a successful nurse practitioner, and in an amazing relationship with her girlfriend, billie. gabriella never wanted to admit it, but she was full of jealousy when it came to her big sister. she had the looks, the brains, and made good money.
well, all isabella wanted for her sister was to be happy, but she thought her art wouldn't take her so far in life. gabriella knew that deep down, but could never come to terms with it. until..
knocks heard on gabriella's apartment door. she ran towards the door, knowing exactly who she was expecting to see.
"bells! i missed you. how was your vacation?" gabriella squeeled as she pulled her older sister in her embrace. billie behind them and smiling at the two siblings.
"it was really good. bellie and i definitely needed that." she smiled, "how are you though? any boys in the mix? how is your art carrer going?" gabriella stared at her sister with a blank stare.
"uh, both are.. non-existent." gabriella admitted while playing with the ends of her hair, "well, except for the fact a couple months ago a random man bought my painting at the park and he gave me a shit ton for it. other than that, my art sales have been extremely slacking." she added.
isabella gave her little sister a face full of pout. "i'm sorry babes." she said. she truly felt bad that her paintings weren't selling like they should. isabella always thought gabriella was full of talent.
they all come to sit around gabriella's small coffee table in her kitchen. "hey gab, this might be a bit of a stretch but one of my good friend's co-worker is actually looking for a nanny. she was just telling me about it. didn't you have this little cute babysitting business couple years back?" billie asked.
gabriella laughed, "oh my god, i can't believe you remember that! that was such a chaotic business. i love children, but man were all of those kids a handful." she replied.
"i know, i know. but.. this is different. i heard this woman is paying very well, and i mean very well." billie emphasized on the word well.
"that sounds intriguing honestly. it wouldn't hurt to reach out. i doubt i would get the position but.." gabriella responded. billie took her phone out to text her friend to get the woman's phone number. and so gabriella went and texted that number.
