Everyone was sitting and chatting together as the Singhania's had already arrived at Chauhan niwas but only one person was not arrived and that was Akriti, and surely she was regretting it as she knew that her mother would chop her off and feed it to hungry hyenas, but can she stop her. No absolutely not, actully only if she blames all it on her brother then their might be chances of not getting chopped and fed raw. But why was she thinking about it she had to reach as fast as possible and crossing her fingers she just hoped that Singhania's should not have arrived yet. And in top of everything her phone's dead of course she cursed her starts but shrugging she just drove at her house. Entering she didn't saw any car and sighed in relief.
"Amma I am so sorry, mujhe bhi nhi pata tha ki late ho jaega. I'll go and get ready quickly." Akriti said marching directly into the living room not looking at the people sitting in the living room.
"Amma! AMMMMAAAAA!! AMMAAaahhhh......!!!!!!!! 😳 Shouting she turned around only to see the Singhania's sitting and gasing at her, and was she embarrassed, welll hell yes she was and the only thing she wanted right now was to burry her self deep down in the grownd. Of course her father told them to park the cars in the basement and she indeed was cursing her stars today.
"Aree Akriti beta don't be embarrassed we came early so its not your mistake come sit." Misha said and Akriti sat beside Padma scratching the back of her neck.
"Uhh I am so sorry, I didn't kne..." as Akriti was going to say Padma cutted her.
"No beta you don't have to be sorry we were suppose to come half an hour later but it was us that couldn't control ourselves so we came early." Padma said putting her hands on Akriti's hands and assuring her.
"As we came to the Chauhan's house we got to know that Akriti had an important meeting so she left early in the morning and would be here soon and I don't know why but, I liked it as she didn't priorities marriage proposals over her work a plus point I guess attracting me towards her. But then soon we heard the door open and heard her voice, maybe she didn't saw us and that's why she was shouting for her mother, and asking for her forgiveness for coming late but when she saw us her face turned pale and she indeed was embarrassed but god she was looking cute. She sat with maa and started talking to everyone one by one, but yet we didn't had any conversation." Raj thought while his eyes were stuck on Akriti watching her every move.
"Akriti beta you go and get freshen up." Shanta said making Akriti nod and stand up from her place, as excusing herself from them she went upstairs to her room.
"Ohhhhh gooooddd that was so embarrassing!!!!!!!!! Ughhhhhh!!" Akriti said getting frustated and moved towards to bathroom as she didn't wanted them to wait.
Coming out of bathroom she wore a yellow coloured kurti with a few mirror works on it and started doing simple makeup just applying kajal and nude lipstick and keeping her long hairs open she moved downstairs.

"Areee ye dekho Akriti bhi aa gai" Misha said glancing at Akriti coming downstairs.
"Wahh Akriti dii you look so beautiful!" Riya said complementing Akriti
"Well not more than you." Akriti said making Riya blush.
"Aacha ab baki bate baad main karege, agar tum dono ko problem na ho to jake aakele main baat karlo." Padma said garbing both Akriti's and Raj's attention.
"Ok maa." Raj said nodding in agreement with his mother.
"Jii aunty. Let's go." Akriti said and they made their way towards the back yard and Raj following her.
There was silence for a few minutes until they reached the seating area and settled themselves.
"Uhh I am extremely sorry for being late I was stuck and..." Akriti said as soon as they settled down feeling that she should say so.
"Noo, no please don't say sorry it was us who were suppose to be half an hour later but came early so its me who should be apologizing." Raj cutted her before she could complete her sentence correcting her.
"And I guess you should never apologize for prioritizing your work over marriage proposal, and its kind of impressing." Raj said her truly as he felt about the situation, he as always looked upon the ladies who are independent as his own grandmother was the main reason that Singhania Group of Industries was what it was at this day.
"Yeah, thanks." Akriti nodded her head with a small smile on her face, as the man infront of her did manage to get one plus point, that to this easily. But, truly it was hard to get in her good books about anything, she was not just strict professionally but also personally as getting into business industry made her understand that you have to choose wisely while letting people get in your good books.
"Soo, what are your expectations from your future wife?" she asked him directly not diverting the topic, as that's what she rushed for from her office.
"Truly speaking your not the first girl I've met for marriage, so the only expectation I have is that she should be respectful toward me, my family and my work. That's it I guess." Raj said being truthful toward her because their were a slight chances of them getting married, at least according to him.
"Ohh, and what about your family, like what expectations do they have from their future daughter-in-law?" Akriti asked being curious as prior to this meting, her all other meetings with other guys and their families were traumatizing, like wearing only traditional, or only work from home, or naming her business on her future families name. And hell she would never do it for the rest of her life these things were her own identity and she believed in choosing it herself.
"Just respect, some quality time with the family and love, and yes their are no restrictions on what you wear and where you go with whom you go and till what time you work." he said truthfully looking at her face as if he heard her unspoken words and answered them.
"And what about you, what are your expectation from your future partner?" he asked her before she could ask anything else.
"That he understands me and respect me for who I am and not forcing me to change for him or his family." she said without hiding anything from him as she knew that over here he was being truthful so even she had to be, as it worked both the ways.
"That's it, nothing else?" Raj asked her not able to digest the fact that she didn't gave him the list of her expectations like other girls.
"Yeah, why you needed more?" she asked him surpassing a little chuckle.
"No" he said cutting short the conversation as he understood that she wasn't going to give him the list or anything else. After talking for almost half hour and sharing their thoughts about marriage and everything else they came to the end of the conversation.
"Soo what do you think about the marriage? Is it a yes or no?" Raj asked her calmly ready to accept her decision about it, and not expecting anything.
"Uhhh..."
