Isn't it how fast days go by, its like it was just yesterday that Akriti met Raj at the party, and now they are getting married, and looking at how fast the time is flying, it wouldn't be soon that they will be married, well it is just two days for their marriage but the thing is that was Raj yet ready for the marriage? Ughh it was a big question for him, well never in his life he was this nervous for anything, he was very much confident when it was his time to take over the business from his fathers hands, he was very much confident while proposing his first ever crush, he was confident in everything he did but today while he was a step behind the biggest decision and he was nervous, like nervous as hell, and these were the only thoughts that came to his mind while sitting on the bed during afternoon, his thought came to a halt when he heard a knock on his door, telling the person to come in he sat by folding his legs on the bed.
"Areee maa aap, aaona!" Raj said noticing her mother on the door and telling her to come in and sit near him patting on the empty space."Beta, koi tension hai kya, main tumhe subha se dekh rahi hu, tum bohot stressed lag rahe ho kuch baat hai kya?" Padma asked him while sitting beside him and roming her hands lovingly on Raj's head, while he just smiled at her, putting his head on her lap and resting.
"Aapko kaise pata?" he just closed his eyes smiling, as whenever he is in dilemma his mother is always the one who first comes to him and asks him about it.
"Maa ko sab pata rehta hai! Chal ab bata kya hua hai?" Padma asked him while softly massaging his head.
"Hmm! Nothing just..." he sighed while speaking not sure from where to start and what to tell.
"Nervous about the marriage and all the responsibilities coming with it?" Padma asked him smiling as if she had just heard his thoughts.
"Hmm! how do you know?" he asked looking at his mother with doe eyes, not knowing how did she heard him thinking, like was it him thinking out loud.
"As I said "Maa ko sab pata rehta hai" Don't worry about anything it will be fine." Padma said giving a peck on his forehead.
"I don't know maa, its just so different, I mean I am not able to understand any of this, its just so much, I was never this nervous ever, its the first time and its hard." Raj said while gazing at the wall.
"Its OK! as much as nervous you are even Akriti is, and even I was when it was my time while getting married to your father." Padma said to him, making him think.
"You know when a girl first comes to your house leaving her childhood place, leaving her surname, just so that she fits in your family and stays by your side forever, and all this while what she wants is just support of her husband and new family, and she will surely stand by your side even when you have nothing to feed her or support her financially. Akriti is a very strong and independent women, she won't need you to feed her or support her financially but love and emotional support are something that no money can provide, even though she is strong from outside she is a small child from inside, and you have to find that child and make her comfortable so that she is childish infront of you and only you." Padma made him understand the basic things that he needed to understand before marriage as after marriage he eventually will understand everything he needs to.
"Hmm! But maa what if she is sad, I mean I know what do when she is happy, but sad, about something, like anything her past or anything?" Raj asked her mother, he wanted to ask many more things but he understood that some things should be understood and not taught.
"Entering the life of another person is about not asking about her scars in life, which she will not talk about and which she cannot talk about. It's about being by the person's side in quite support. First, the scar must be identified, and then treated." she told him lovingly as all she wanted was for him to understand her, that's what girls actually need, they don't need someone who would spend lakhs on them they need someone who would sit with them and listen to them for whole night.
"Is it that easy?" Raj asked getting up from his mothers lap looking at her finding answers.
"Yes, it is. Us women's are not complicated, we are easy to understand, but we need the person infront of us to understand us. Anyways, I came here to tell you that its already 4:30, sangeet will start by 7 don't you need to get ready?" she said him to get ready as soon as possible as after getting ready they needed to do photoshoot as well.
Here Akriti was almost ready as it was already 6:15, and the photographer said that they would have the start the photoshoot before the sunset as they needed good pictures.
"Dii, photo vale bhaiya ne apko chaat pe bulaya hai, photo nikalne ke liye." Ansh came in the room and said to his sister.
"Hmm, let's go!" Akriti said standing up and moving towards the door.
"Dii, aap ne kitna makeup kiya hai, cheee!" Ansh said as he used his black kurta and rubbed it on her forehead only to have a white cast on it.
"Nikal yaha se, gavar!" Akriti said eyeing him from head to toe as if he had done some crime and moved towards the mirror to fix her makeup. After that they went towards the rooftop, to get the pictures clicked. As soon as they reached Raj was already standing their waiting for her to join them, as when he saw her he moved towards her and helped her climb the last few stairs.
"I didn't needed the help." Akriti whispered to him and looked at him for an explanation, as it was the first time someone did this.
"I didn't do it because you needed help, I did it because I wanted to." he said while surpassing a small smile towards her and taking her towards the photoshoot area.
