Tantra - a Dwapar yug adventure [Ongoing]

Part 8

Subhadra woke up earlier than usual to get ready for Holi, on the way to the bathing grounds, she met Dushala who was smiling pleasantly at her. They both heard a weird sing song voice coming from the common pool, they turned around the corner to see Tantra!

Tantra had woken up at brahma muhurt which was 2 hours earlier than her usual time, she was beaming excitedly at her friends and pulled them into the pool.

"Oh ho, hurry up and clean yourselves. We are getting late!"

"Crazy woman, you're up early for one day and we are late ah", said Dushala

"Come on, I want to run to the town and colour everyone"

"I don't think that is a great idea, we might get recognised", said Bhadra

Tantra dressed herself up in a sparkling white lehenga and went to pull her friends towards the room having the Holi colours.

"Here, throw these scarves on. We won't be troubled once we leave the gates", said Tantra

Bhadra and Dushala nervously followed Tantra towards the palace entrance. Tantra got hold of some water and mixed the packet of gulab that she had and applied it on both the girls.

The girls shrieked and ran after Tantra, they swerved left and right as Tantra ran down alleys to avoid getting coloured. Bhadra finally held Tantra and coloured her yellow.

Tantra glared at the two girls and went to wash her face, she looked up from the well to see kids playing with each other. She decided to sneak behind a wall and throw colour in the air, the pink colour descended on the already soaked kids and coloured them gulab.

She came across a temple built for Suryabhagwan where a familiar face was praying, she waited till Karn finished praying to sneak behind him and throw the red coloured water that she had gotten from the kids. Karn felt his back drenched and looked behind in suprise to see the mysterious girl he met.

"I told you that we would meet again", said Tantra
"Indeed, now you didn't have to drench me. Although, it now makes it fair for me to colour you as well!"
Karn caught Tantra who had tried to run away, he applied blue powder on to her hands and nose. 

"Now you look beautiful Tantra", he said sarcastically
Bhadra and Dushala neared the temple, the girls said bye to Karn as they had to go to the palace. 

The girls washed their faces and went in search of the princes to put their plan into action. Meanwhile, Duryodhana and Dushasan were waiting to colour their sister. They were hiding behind a tree, Tantra saw this and decided to ask Bhadra to pour water from above. Her and Dushala went by the side of the tree and sneaked up on them. Dushala went after Dushasan, who was screaming like a small child!

That left Tantra with Duryodhan, the dhols started playing which made both of them pause. Duryodhan smiled and backed away slowly, Tantra grabbed the crimson red powder in her hands and catch his shirt. She applied red on to his beard, before she could completely drown him in colour, he held her wrist and took the red and applied it onto her neck. They both shrieked in suprise when water was pourn on them harshly from above. Tantra lost balance and nearly slipped when Duryodhan caught her, his hands covered in red held her hips. The red fingertips were embellished as a pattern on to her skin. Their eyes gazed at each other as if stuck in a trance, nothing else existed in that moment. 

The singer rendered "Atak gayi hai saans uske Sang Sang Sang" (My breath has stopped, alongisde hers)
Duryodhan thought that an Apsara was standing before him, a teasing angel who was here to make his heart ache for her presence every single day. Bhadra called out Tantra's name, Tantra suddenly realized the embarassing situation she was in. She cleared her throught in hope of escaping, Duryodhan broke from his trance and blushed. His face was tomato red!
Tantra left and turned back just once to see Duryodhan still gawking at her. She smirked at the reaction, she thought to herself - is this a ras leela?
