a/n:

hi loves

⚠️tw: talk of throw up
(a big phobia of mine, but i write about it quite a bit. i think it's how i cope, idk lol i'm weird.)

billie and ava have 2 babies <3

delilah and ella :)

ava's pov:

well, it happened.

the thing i've dreaded since delilah was born.

the stomach flu.

last night, lilah woke me and billie up around midnight saying she had a tummy ache.

so, we let her lay in bed with us.

it's a very very rare occurrence that she gets to sleep with us.

we just don't want her getting used to being in our bed.

but we figured, since she doesn't feel good, we'd let her stay in our room just incase.

at around 12:30, she threw up for the first time.

and quite literally didn't stop until around 6.

just up and down and up and down.

and poor billie, she has really really bad anxiety when people are sick.

like really bad.

but she's been doing so good. i'm so so proud of her.

it's now noon and i'm about to get both of the girls bathed.

billie's in a phone meeting, so she'll probably be able to help towards the end.

"c'mere baby. let's get you in the nice warm bath." i say, turning off the tv.

she whimpers and whines, covering her head up with the blanket.

"i know. i know, it'll be nice and quick. we gotta wash all the ick off." i say, gently pulling the blanket back.

"tummy" she whines.

"shh, i know. cmon, mommy will carry you." i say picking her up carefully.

i place her lethargic, sick little body in my arms, laying her head down on my shoulder.

i cary her upstairs, into our bathroom.

"why we go in mommy's room?" she asks quietly.

"because baby. let's check your temperature. you feel so hot." i say setting her down on the counter next to the sink.

i grab the light pink colored thermometer, turning it on.

"stay still baby." i say as i drag it across her forehead and around the back of her ear.

i pull it up as it beeps, seeing the numbers read, 101.2°.
