Fidgeting uncomfortably in my seat from the heat and Mr. Ackerman's stare, the sweat came back to bite me in the ass.
"Jeager... Are you sweating..." Mr. Ackerman asks while feigning a look of minor disgust.
"Oh uhm, yeah sorry. I think I may have gone a bit over-board with the layers." I said with a nervous chuckle while pulling my scarf away from my neck to have some airflow.
"Take them off then. I don't need your stupid body fluids getting all over the nice furniture." Mr. Ackerman said while gesturing to my overly fluffy attire. Doing so quickly, I began taking off my jacket and taking off three out of five layered shirts leaving on a black long-sleeved shirt with a forest green replica underneath. I also took off the lovely black scarf I loved so much.
Folding the shirts and jacket on my lap, I turned my attention back to Mr. Ackerman. But becoming flustered once I saw him, once again, looking me up and down. Or at least down to my hips since I was sitting in a chair....
When his gaze traveled back up to my eyes and red-tinted face, he smirked and leaned back into his chair. "You know Jeager, you should start getting used to having less layers on. You hide so much under them." Mr. Ackerman said with a smirk and a mischievous glint in his eye. Is he flirting with me!?
Becoming even more flustered, I struggled to find words. But before I could look for them more, he started talking again.
"Right, Jeager, first things first. Do you have the papers I asked for through text?"
A little bit dazed, I gave a delayed answer. "Yes, I have them. They are on my phone. Hopefully that's okay? I didn't have time to print them." I said while chuckling nervously.
"It's fine. Send it to the number you contacted me with. A friend of mine already did your background check so no need to send those records." Nodding to the man sitting in front of me, I quickly pulled out my phone and opened my camera roll and sent the couple of pictures I took of my documents to the "Levi Ackerman" contact saved on my phone. After a couple seconds or so of waiting, a ding was heard coming from Mr. Ackerman's phone. He glanced at the phone but did not make a move to check it.
"Alright now that that's done, I'm moving on to the questions." The older man said while sitting straighter in his chair and reaching out for a pack of cigarettes on his desk and grabbing one of the cancer sticks. Bringing it to his mouth and inhaling the toxic fumes while crossing his legs, he began talking again.
"So, through text I made you answer a few questions. I will only ask a few more. That being said, if one of the children happened to not be following your instruction or is misbehaving, how would you react?" Mr. Ackerman said while appearing disinterested. Leaning back in the chair I am sitting in, I quickly respond.
"Based on my past experiences, I know that most children must be disciplined a certain way. They can't just be yelled at or punished outright. So, depending on the severity of the rule breaking, I would explain what they are doing wrong, how to fix it, and then leave them off with a warning. Second chances are important for child development." I said while playing with the scarf in my hands, trying not to focus on the stare of dark gray eyes boring into my soul.
"What would you do if they ignored your warning and did it again?" Levi asked while holding his cigarette with his left hand and using his right to pick up the teacup on his desk up by the rim and drink it.
"I would remain calm and find an appropriate punishment, probably something that would limit their hobbies. Minus studies because I'm not that cruel, if the child likes reading, I won't limit them." I said confidently.
Nodding his head, Mr. Ackerman readjusted in his chair and set the teacup down.
"If the children became bored, would you be able to find creative ways to entertain them? I can't have the little brats running around causing chaos while I'm working." The raven-haired man said while scowling. Thinking back to my past experiences, I nodded.
