Why Her

sofia and nika pulled into the drive way of the house before getting out and going inside. the house was empty and silent. no breezes going in or out no dishwashers running no clothes being dried. nika went to the bathroom and undid her hair letting it flow down her back. sofia went to the other room,locked the door, and took off her clothes before getting into the shower. she ran the water hotter than usual trying to distract herself from the thought of paige. a slight wince escaped her mouth when the water touched her bare skin but she got used to the temperate quickly. while The Archer played on her speaker she washed all the hair gel out of her hair and washed her body. after actually getting cleaned up she stayed in the shower for a little while until she got out and wrapped her hair and body in matching blue towels. sofia sighed as she put on a pair of fluffy socks and walked back into her bedroom. she got changed into a pale yellow pullover and white shorts. she let down her hair and blow dried it. while she was getting unready from the day, nika was making a cup of tea and watching Friends. after her hair was dry, sofia put it up in a messy pub and plopped onto her bed, shoving her face into one of her many pillow. after sitting in silence for a good five minutes she began to cry. it may have been only a week since paige and her broke up but she expected herself to be healed quickly, it seemed like paige was perfectly fine already.her cries began more intense so she covered her mouth and her body with a thick blanket. after having this long crying session nika finally finished her tea and went to just check up on sofia. after finding her laying in bed with a red nose and puffy eyes she rushed to her side and began to hug her. "sofs what happened? are you ok?" she said trying to calm sofia down. sofia sniffled and wiped her dried up tears quite aggressively. as she calmed herself down as much as she could she began to speak slowly. "how could she do this." nika was still confused. "who?" sofia looked up at nika and said sarcastically "taylor swift!" nika caught on and realized she was talking about paige. sofia rested her head on nika's shoulder as nika rubbed her back. "you know why she did it sofs. it wasn't your fault thought you have to remember that." her accent was thick but calm as she tried to comfort sofia. sofia sat up and wiped her tears even more and blew her nose with a tissue. "i know but i didn't even show any signs of anything bad. i was so good to her you know?" nika clicked her tongue and pulled sofia into another hug squeezing her tightly. nicka's warmth really did comfort sofia a lot.

after they cuddled for a little sofia stood up and looked down at nika. "can we watch gilmore girls please." nika nodded and stood up before they both walked to the living room and turned on netflix. sofia placed her head on nika's shoulder and started to fall asleep. it was a good nap too, that kind of after sobbing sleep always hits different. nika started to fall asleep too. once they were both asleep time started to fly by so quickly that by the time they woke up it was because the girls had gotten home. as everyone started walking through the doors following eachother in one by one sofia and nika slowly lifted there heads up. sofia rubbed her eyes and stretched out her arms. her hair was slightly messed up but not too much. almost all the girls were inside before azzi, paige, and kk walked through the door. sofia felt her eyes start to water just at the sight of paige. she stood up and rushed to her room quickly. azzi walked up to nika and tapped her shoulder. "is sofie good? she seems really upset" nika was still trying to wake up, she blinked a couple times before answering "yeah she's just been a bit down but she's fine" azzi nodded and started walking down the hallway into her room that she shared with paige. paige headed in too. they both sat down and took off their shoes before ranting about their days. "i know you were staring at sofia's ass at practice today." azzi blurted out throwing paige comepletly off. "what?!" azzi raised her eyebrows and waited for an answer. paige denied, denied, and denied even thought it was the truth. "everyone can tell that you miss her other than sofie" azzi said with complete confidence. paige tried to act confused even thought she new it was the truth. she missed her a lot and it was sort of embarrassing that everyone could tell.
