After about an hour of work, we had finally reached Cascade's coffin. I used my powers to teleport it out of the whole, and closer to us.

Mattheo put his hands on the wooden box, exhaled heavily and gently opened it.

"Shit." He said plainly.

"What? Is it not there?" I questioned.

"See for yourself." He stepped back and I walked over to him, taking a look inside the coffin.

My blood froze at the sight. His mother's skeleton was lying in there, her arms folded gently on her stomach, looking like she was holding something.

"May I?" I asked him and he nodded.

I untangled her arms and smiled at the sight of the beautiful necklace lying beneath. I took it in my hands and looked at it carefully.

Holding it made me feel like embracing an ancestor. Some weird warmth, that I couldn't explain.

"You sure this is the one?" I asked Mattheo, who was sitting on a bench near me.

"As sure as I can be with all of that crap." He replied.

I saved the necklace in my pocket and quickly fixed our mess in the graveyard. The coffin was back in the ground, and the soil smoothed out over it.

I sat on the bench near Riddle, catching my breath.

"You okay?" I asked.

"No." He said and let his head rest on my shoulder.

"We're almost done, Mat. Almost." I spoke to him softly, trying to persuade myself as well, that this nightmare was ending soon.

"This doesn't feel right. There's more into this, I'm sure. He can't have let us go on with our lives and forget about him. There has to be one last blade waiting." He said, and I could feel his fear.

"Whatever it is, we will get through it. Together." I messed his curls before I stood up.

"Aparate us back to the castle now. Dumbledore needs to see this." I instructed.

He walked over, held me tight once again, and the familiar feeling of being teleported hit my head.

"It's the last horcrux. We destroy it, he dies." I explained, watching Dumbledore examine the necklace in his hands.

"And you think the Dark Lord would have put his life at risk without an exchange?" He questioned.

"What do you mean?" I asked, as McGonagall entered the room as well.

"The jewel is enchanted. You can't simply destroy it." She said.

"It being the last horcrux, it should be more powerful, painful to ruin. I'm not sure whether it kills you, or not, I need more time to look into it." Dumbledore explained.
