When the group arrived at the house, Aurora dreaded to see how her parents and the rest of her family would react to their recent encounter with the stranger. She decided to ride with her aunt, uncle, and cousin on the ride back so Scott could calm himself down. As they reached the house, Aurora could make out the figure of her mother pacing in the leaving room while her other family members stood with their arms crossed. Her father was stood next to the window, as he waited for them to pull up. Aurora gulped silently to herself, slightly scared to see how furious and worried her parents looked. Renesmee could sense her older cousin's fear and placed her hand on her cousin's shoulder, comforting her. Through the rearview mirror, Edward watched his daughter and niece with a small smile. The group pulled into the driveway and parked the car, as they slowly got out of the car, with Aurora coming out last. Edward walked over to his niece and said to her, "Everything will be okay, Rory. Your parents won't be mad, they're just worried and scared for you." Aurora hesitantly turned to the house to see her aunt and cousin walk in with her parents coming up them with worry on their faces. She sighed and took a deep breath and hesitantly walked into the house with her uncle behind her. Rosalie turned at the sound of her daughter's rapid beating heart and said, sighing in relief as she rushed over to her, "Aurora! Oh, thank God! Your father and I were so worried!" Aurora's left hand instantly went to grab her arm, as a nervous habit. She slightly tensed up when her mother brought her into a tight hug. Emmett walked over to his wife and daughter and said to his daughter, as his wife pulled away from the hug, "You okay, kiddo? You had me and your mother worried when Edward called us about the Volutri." Aurora just nodded slightly and moved to go to the backyard, needing some time to herself. Emmett turned to Edward and said to him, as they all watched her leave, "What exactly happened, Edward? What's wrong with Aurora?" Edward sighed and replied, as the others began to file into the living room, "Aurora and Scott had a bit of a disagreement so they had walked off to sort it out. I don't know much of what exactly happened only that I heard Aurora yell out in her mind to me for help. We arrived in time to see Dimitri. He said that we couldn't hide or outrun them any longer and that the Volutri wanted to meet us again. As for Aurora, I think she's a bit shaken up on what had happened. She's confused, scared, and overwhelmed." Carlisle sighed and said, from his spot on the couch next to Esme, "Who can blame her? The Volutri are not someone who can be messed with, they're dangerous." Emmett's eyes then trailed off to his daughter who he could see sitting on the back porch, her chin sitting on her hands. He said, "All the same, I'm going to check on my kid."

Rosalie watched her husband leave and went to follow him but was stopped by Jasper. She stared at her adoptive brother with a slight glare but held back when he shook his head. Jasper gave his sister a soft smile and said, "Let him go and talk to Rory, Rose. They could use this time to bond." Outside, Aurora was lost in her own thoughts as she thought about the recent situation as tears flowed down her cheeks. She couldn't understand why these people were against herself or her family. To her mind, they hadn't done anything wrong. The poor girl was just confused and lost. At the sound of soft footsteps, Aurora looked up to see her father coming from n behind her with a concerned look on his face. Emmett took a seat next to his daughter and said to her, "You were pretty quiet back there, kiddo. You okay? You can talk to me about anything." Aurora sighed and replied, "I don't know, I guess I'm just confused and scared about what's going on." She turned to look at her father and he looked at her with sadness at the sight of her tears. Emmett sighed and said, "Oh, sweetheart. Come here." Aurora instantly threw herself into her father's tight embrace and started to cry. If he had a human heart and he wasn't a vampire; Emmett was sure that his heart would've broke at the sound of his daughter's cries. Emmett slowly pulled away and continued, as he gently wiped his daughter's tears away, "What brought this on, sweetheart? Do I need to beat Scott's ass for hurting you?" Aurora slightly laughed and replied, "No, Dad. It's not Scotty. I mean, in our argument, we had said some hurtful stuff but we made up and it's all good now. I'm just confused and scared about why these people are after us. We didn't do anything wrong." Emmett sighed and said, "They think that you are part vampire and that we bitten you to turn you into a vampire. It's against vampire law to bite kids to turn them into a vampire. There's a chance that they could be Immortal Children, which are dangerous. There's only ever been 2 of them in existence because they can't control themselves or have caused harm to others. They thought the same thing about Renesemee when she was born before you but she was born naturally like you were."

Aurora's eyes widened at her father's revelation, she wasn't even vampire. As far as she and her parents were concerned, she was completely human without any vampire qualities whatsoever. She looked at him in surprise and said, "Then why are they so adamant about meeting me? Is that why you and Mom gave me away?" Emmet took his daughter's hand and replied, "We gave you away to protect you. We thought that if someone else took you in and gave you their last name, you would be far from danger and the Volutri. They want to meet you to see for themselves if you are or are not an Immortal Child. They won't stop coming after us till they do." Aurora said, "Then why not meet them? We can end this if they see me and ease their fears." Emmett sighed and replied, "It doesn't work that way, sweetheart. There's always a catch with them. We have to be careful planning this." Aurora stood from her seat and said to her father, "Then, we'll need all the help we can get. I have an idea." She then turned to walk back into the house with her father shortly behind her. In the living room, Carlisle and Esme sat on one of the couches while Rosalie sat between Alice and Jasper on the other across from them. Alice had her arm around Rosalie's shoulders while Jasper held her hands, comforting her. Edward and Bella stood off to the side while Renesemee had got to her room where she worked on her homework from school. They all looked up when they heard footsteps and saw Aurora coming towards them. Aurora had a determined look on her face and said, "So, what are we gonna do about the Volutri?" Carlisle turned to his adoptive granddaughter and replied, "What do you mean, Aurora?" Aurora said, "In order for them to stop coming after us, we need to come up with a plan on how to get them to leave us alone. The only was to do that is to give them what they want." Rosalie stood from her spot and said, going to her daughter, "No, absolutely not. I don't want you near them, they're dangerous!" Aurora turned to her mother and replied, "It's the only way; Mom. I want them to quit bugging us and I'll do whatever it takes to get them to stop. I'll be careful, I promise. Besides if they try anything, there are two wolf packs who would love to make their lives miserable." Edward smirked and said, coming over to his niece's side, "And a vampire clan. We're a family and we stick together." Esme nodded in agreement and said, "Well said, Edward. *She then turned to Carlisle, raising her eyebrow* Well, Carlisle?" Carlisle sighed and said, "Alright, if Aurora wants to go through it, then it shall be done. As long as some of us go with her. I shall go because I'm head of the family and Aro would be expecting me to be there. He's the one we should be careful of, he's the leader of the Volturi." Edward nodded in agreement and said, "I shall go because with my mind reading, I can tell what they're thinking. We'll be better prepared."

Aurora turned to look at her parents, begging them to come with them. Just because she came up with the crazy idea, it didn't mean that she wanted to do it without them. Rosalie turned to her daughter and said, sighing, "Alright, we'll come but you will stay near me or your father or we won't go at all." Aurora nodded and replied, "I promise I won't, Mom." Carlisle stood and said,
"Then, it's settled. Edward, Rosalie, Emmett, and I will all go with Aurora to meet with the leaders and get this done." Aurora then turned to her grandmother, aunts, and uncle and said, "Wait, what about Nana, Aunt Alice, Aunt Bella, and Uncle Jasper? Aren't they coming too?" Jasper stood from his seat and replied, coming to his niece, "I think it's best for us to hold down the front here. Besides, it's also best if only a few people go, it would make it seem less of an attempted coup." Aurora looked down at the ground, disappointed, and said, "Okay........." Jasper just gave his niece a small smile and ruffled her hair, causing her to giggle. Rosalie smiled softly from her spot next to her husband. Carlisle nodded and said, "So; we'll leave in the morning. I shall contact Aro and tell him that we would meet him but only if he promises not to take any chances on ambushing us. Everyone must get their rest and get ready for tomorrow." With that, everyone dispersed off to do their one thing with Esme going to the kitchen. Aurora went outside to the front when she had received a text from Stiles saying that they were arriving. Her friends had stayed behind at the reservation to make sure that the Uley pack was okay and that everything was in order and to give her and her family some time to cool off. Rosalie and Emmett watched as their daughter greeted her friends and adoptive brother. She greeted her adoptive brother first, who checked her over for injuries before bringing her into a hug. Scott came out of his car and rushed over to Aurora, bringing her into his arms with a frightened look on his face. Emmett turned to Rosalie who had a sneer on her face and said to her, "He really does care for her, Rose. He protected her from Dimitri at the reservation. That's what Edward and Bella told me." Rosalie's sneer disappeared when she saw Scott gently wipe away what appeared to be tears on Aurora's cheeks, before bringing her into a soft kiss. As they kissed, their friends rushed over them to check on Aurora, causing the couple to pull apart. With that, Rosalie knew that her daughter would be okay as she had been before she returned to her and Emmett. Only now, they had an enemy to worry about that was way worse than just your average supernatural creatures.........the  Volutri.
