Four days passed, and Y/n didn't see Jungkook once. She didn't visit his office to complete the painting, which only heightened his anxiety. Regret gnawed at him; he worried that he had been too forward in expressing his intentions. He wondered if his haste had driven her away and whether he had made a grave mistake.
Jungkook paced his office, glancing frequently at his phone, hoping for a message or call from her. His mind raced with thoughts of what he could have done differently, how he could make things right.
While Jungkook was waiting for Y/n's call, his phone rang. To his surprise, it was his son, Seol, calling. Jungkook had given Seol a phone, but the boy rarely used it, much preferring to code on his desktop in his free time. The sight of Seol’s name on the screen was unexpected.
Jungkook answered the call and waited for Seol to speak.
"Speak up," Jungkook prompted, growing impatient with the silence.
"Take me home," Seol demanded, his voice tinged with irritation. Jungkook suppressed a laugh. He knew Seol disliked staying with his doting grandparents, who showered him with an excess of affection. Seol cringed at such displays, though he was quite the opposite with Y/n, with whom he turned into a lovesick puppy.
"Why?" Jungkook asked.
"I want to see Mommy! I miss her," Seol muttered. Jungkook's eyes widened at his words.
"W-What? Mommy?" Jungkook stammered, momentarily stunned.
Seol ended the call without another word. Jungkook immediately contacted Seol's driver, instructing him to pick Seol up from the Jeon Mansion.

Seol arrived at his office an hour later, looking slightly grumpy but relieved to be away from his grandparents. Jungkook met him at the door, concern etched on his face.
"Seol, what's this about wanting to see Mommy?" Jungkook asked gently.
Seol looked up at him, his expression earnest. "Y/n, mommy."
Jungkook's heart ached at his son's words. He knelt down to Seol's level, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder. "I know you like Y/n a lot, but you can't call her that... yet."
Seol fumed, his eyes downcast. "No, I want her to be my mommy."
Jungkook sighed, pulling his son into a hug. "Don't act like a child, Seol. You're a big five-year-old now."
"No, Mommy said I’m a five-year-old cute baby," Seol retorted, pushing him away and glaring.
"Please, don't call her Mommy," Jungkook pleaded, struggling to find the right words. He worried about the impact this could have on Y/n and the fragile relationship they were trying to build.
Seol’s lower lip trembled as he looked up at his father. "But I really miss her," he whispered, a sob escaping his mouth.
Jungkook's eyes widened as tears streamed down Seol's cheeks.
"I want her to be my mommy," Seol cried, throwing the phone his father had given him onto the floor.
"Seol," Jungkook tried to sound stern, though he felt helpless. Seol rarely cried, even as a toddler, and Jungkook wasn’t sure how to handle his son’s emotional outburst.
"I wanna meet Mommy!" Seol yelled, throwing items from Jungkook's desk onto the floor. Jungkook's eyes widened in alarm as Seol reached for his laptop.
"Oh no, not that, Seol!" Jungkook shouted in panic. Seol cried even louder.
"Okay, okay, I'll take you to meet her. Calm down," Jungkook sighed in defeat, hoping to soothe his son.
"Really?", Seol asked. Jungkook sighed and nodded.
