Y/n meticulously cleared her schedule at the gallery, ensuring that everything was in order for the week ahead, just as Jungkook had requested. At home, she told her family that she would be spending the week at her grandfather's place, a convenient cover that no one questioned. The lie weighed on her, but she pushed the guilt aside, focusing instead on the anticipation of what the coming days might hold.
Now back at her office, Y/n was occupied with sorting through a stack of bills, her mind only half on the task at hand. She knew Jungkook would be arriving soon to pick her up, and the thought made her heart race with a mix of excitement and nervousness.
As she scanned the invoices, checking each one carefully, she couldn't shake the feeling that she was standing on the edge of something significant.
Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of her phone buzzing on the desk. She picked it up and saw a message from Jungkook: *"I'm outside your studio. Come when you are ready."*
Taking a deep breath, Y/n gathered the bills into a neat pile and placed them in a drawer, locking it with a click. She stood up and smoothed out her dress, taking one last glance around her office. Everything was in order, and yet nothing felt certain.
Y/n made her way to the gallery's main entrance, each step echoing the rapid beat of her heart. The closer she got, the more her anticipation grew, a mixture of excitement and nervousness tightening in her chest. She pushed open the door and stepped outside, her eyes scanning the street until they landed on a sleek, black car parked just a few feet away.
Jungkook was leaning casually against the hood, his hands in his pockets, exuding an effortless confidence that made her breath catch. His gaze lifted as she approached, a warm smile spreading across his face as their eyes met.
"You're right on time," he remarked, his voice carrying a hint of approval.
Y/n returned his smile, feeling a flutter of nerves. "I try not to keep people waiting," she replied, attempting to keep her tone light.
He straightened up, opening the passenger door for her with a small, gentlemanly gesture. "Shall we?"
With a nod, Y/n slid into the car, the leather seats cool against her skin. Jungkook closed the door behind her and walked around to the driver's side, slipping into the seat beside her. As he got inside the car was filled with his strong cologne. started the engine, the soft hum of the car filled the air, a stark contrast to the whirlwind of thoughts swirling in Y/n's mind.
"So," Jungkook began as they pulled away from the gallery, "Are you fine?"
She glanced at him, noticing the playful glint in his eyes. "I think so," she answered, her voice steady despite the uncertainty brewing within her. "Though I still have no idea where we're going."
He chuckled, the sound deep and warm. "Somewhere you can get to know me better."
Y/n raised an eyebrow, a playful smile tugging at her lips. "I guess we'll see about that," she replied with a light shrug, intrigued but keeping her curiosity in check.
As they continued down the road, a question popped into her mind. "Where's Seol, though?" she asked, turning her gaze toward him, genuinely curious about the little boy's absence.
Jungkook glanced at her briefly, a small, amused smile playing on his lips. "He insisted on taking the helicopter," he said with a casual shrug, as if this was the most normal thing in the world.
Y/n blinked, her expression a mix of surprise and confusion. "The helicopter? That's... quite the travel preference," she remarked, trying to wrap her head around the eccentric habits of this father-son duo.
