Serana stared blankly at the lad infront of her before she finally spoke, crimson eyes flashing with contained rage.

"I'll give you two seconds to repeat what you just said, or get out."

Aleci, clearly not heeding her unspoken threat, repeated what he said.

"I don't get why everyone's so protective of the elf, he was a freak-"

His heart was in Serana's hand, and he choked, grasping at the gaping hole now in his chest.

"Oblivion take you." She spat, disgusted with the amount of nord hypocrisy he had been spilling.

It took the Nord only a few moments to be laid out on the stone floor dead, before her door opened. Sharp, glinting metal was levelled at the intruder's throat the second the handle was pushed, and she only lowered it when she registered who had entered.

Inigo raised a brow at the dead man before sighing and shaking his head, Lucien behind him pinching his nose fustrated.

"Atlas?" The Imperial Champion of Peryite asked rhetorically.

Serana nodded with a jerk of her head, and flames in her hand saw the heart turned to ash.

Inigo eyed the body for a few more moments before he gave into his urge and sighed, "You going to eat that?"

Serana pulled a face, "I'll have the blood, meat is all yours."

Lucien sighed, before walking past her and popping down in the office chair, snatching up the paperwork she had abandoned before finishing it off.

"A Vampire, A Canmibal Sympathiser and a Priest walk into a room - sounds like the start of a bar joke."

Serana raised an amused look at him, "The Champion of Molag Bal, The Champion of Peryite, and The Champion of Meridia - The joke isn't
on us."

Perhaps not, Lucien smirked, before turning back to the paper work, Serana kneeling down next to the corpse to harvest his blood, while Inigo walked off to find one of the priests of Namira.

...

The unconventional priests walked into the unconventional room and took the unconventional gift with gratitude, the unconventional high priests bidding them welcome and dismissal as they left with the corpse.

How, conventional.

"When's Teldryn expected back?" Inigo asked as he settled into a chair opposite the desk, Serana grabbing the other.

"A couple days." Lucien answered, "You found a replacement?" He knew Inigo had, but asked anyway.

"Yes, Kortl was quite pleased to take over Boetheia's and Fali was eager to take oevr Mephala's worship for the time being."

Lucien put down the papers, turning a look on Serana, "The Vigilants?"

She sighed, "Durak's grandson Icar continues to keep them at bay with the rest of the dawnguard, but they know it would be suicide to attack the Castle, especially with Odahviing guarding us."

One of the last things Atlas had done before he disappeared was see the conversion of the empty castle into a temple, one dedicated to both the daedric princes and the aedric beings; and while it angered a lot of people, it quickly became popular due to how each deity had a priest dedicated solely to them with two attendant acolytes with them.

The castle was neutral ground, but it wasn't the four high priests that kept it that way, it was the deities. People were physically unable to injure eachother on the castle grounds, they couldn't even draw weapons. Inigo, Lucien, Serana and Teldryn were the only exceptions to that rule.
