Yuichirō walked back home from school that day. Mother should have be home around now. Maybe she forgot to pick him up, or she went to the pharmacy with Dad. Whichever reason it was, Yuichirō didn't know.

"Hey there little guy! I thought you were out sick!" A tall, lanky man called to him from a tree branch.

The boy turned around in confusion. "I'm not sick, what are you talking about?"

The man swung down right in front of him, with a nasty grin on his face. "How about we talk about it, eh?"

Yuichirō grimaced. "I don't want to talk to you."

"Where are your friends? Or do you not have any?"

"Ha. I have friends. And I'm done talking to you."

"Hold on, not so fast." The man grabbed him by the wrist. "What's your name?"

Yuichirō yanked his arm out of the man's grip. "Don't touch me!"

"Come on! Let's go talk, we can sort things out!" He grabbed Yuichirō by the shoulders.

"Hey Mister! What are you doing with that kid?!"

A woman yelled from her porch.

The man jumped in surprise. "He's my cousin! I'm taking him on a walk to the park!"

"Liar! You're not my cousin! I've never seen you before!"

"Sir, leave that child alone before I call the police!"

Yuichirō took off as soon as the man released him. It wasn't a good idea...it wasn't a good idea to walk home all alone. This may be the same guy Nezuko talked about.

Yuichirō ran all the way home. He slammed the front door open and closed it, locking it behind him.

"Dad! Hi Dad!"

His father looked up from his newspaper. "Hello Yuichirō. Come give me a hug."

Yuichirō jumped into his father's lap. "Dad, how's Muichirō doing?"

"Muichirō is doing better. His fever has gone down a bit. He's sleeping right now. In his room."

Yuichirō patted his Father on the head. "Okay. Genya was asking about him. Everyone was, actually. They were worried."

"You and Muichirō have good friends, Yui."

"Yeah. Did you get a chance to talk to him yet?"

"No. He's been in and out like a light, I didn't get a chance."

"I see. Don't worry Dad, he'll listen to you, to whatever you have to say."

His Father sighed and hugged him. "Thank you for the words of encouragement."

Yuichirō patted him on the back. "Where's Uncle Yoriichi?"

His Father sat him down next to himself. "He went down to the police station."
