Trust Issues 5b

"Let's go". Adriana said. Luca was to angry to sense the anger in her voice.
As soon as they entered the car, Adriana said "I'm not coming to your house again".
"Hell you're not."
"The fuck is that supposed to mean?".
"Do act all holy with me slut". Luca parked his car at the side of road. They were all an hour away from the family mansion.
"The hell you just called me?".
"You slept with my brother and now because I found out, you don't want to go back there".
Adriana was seething. "I slept with your brother?". Adriana scoffed due to disbelief.
"Listen" she turned and faced Luca squarely "You can call me all the names on this earth but slot, prostitute, whore that I won't tolerate. And you should work on trusting others. Wait, do you trust yourself?. If you trust yourself than I'm sure you won't say all this nonsense to me".  Adriana said this and walked out of the car in the middle of the road.
Luca sat there and reasoned what he said actually didn't make sense. How did he know for sure they slept together?. She called him psychotic and she still slept with him?. No way. The mother put ideas in his head and it got to him.
He drove and stopped infront of Adriana. Came down from the car and walked over to her.
"I'm sorry".
"Leave me alone."
Adriana attempted to walk away but he stood in front of her. He held he waist, pulled her close and removed hairs from her face.
"I'm sorry. I should have thought about what I was saying but I didn't. I know you are upset but you can't walk all the way home. It's a four hours drive or thereabout".
Adriana thought and said "I'm lazy. I don't exercise expect I plan on. So I'm entering the car not because you asked". She scoffed and entered the car.
Luca was smiling like a child they just gave a lollipop and he turned to enter the car.
He wanted to ask her what happened but he didn't want to offend het. If she trusted him, he will trust her.
"Do you know what that scumbag if your brother did?".
At this point Luca turned to reverse so they can go. As he was reversing, he said"What did he do?".
Adriana turned to look at Luca as Luca glanced at her.
"Look, during dinner I wanted to use the restroom. I couldn't ask you because you were giving me silent treatment, wish I still don't know why. He escorted me to the restroom, I eased myself, came out and saw him still at the door. He told me that I was pretty to which I said thank you and then he started kissing me and then..."
"What happened to your neck?".
Luca saw red bruises on Adriana's neck and was aside himself with anger for not  noticing that and calling her a slut.
"I was getting there. He grabbed my neck and pushed me inside the bathroom and kissed me aggressively and was also putting his hand under my dress. After a while he started undoing his belt and then I kicked him in the balls and ran to the opposite room which I later found out was a second bathroom and stayed there after a while I came out and was looking for you then u saw a maid asked her and she said you were outside and end of story". Adriana said this under one breath, all the while looking at Luca though he would glance at her at intervals since he was driving.
"Are you okay?. I mean your neck?".
"Yeah I'm fine" she said as she rubbed the bruised area. " You lied".
Luca looked at her"What?".
"You said you'd protect me". Although Adriana has it in mind not to wait for any man to stand up for her, she believed him when he said that and, now he has her trust and nothing would break that.
"I'm sorry." Luca was aside himself with guilt and anger. The next time he would see his brother, at least he'd make sure to take out two teeth for artifacts.
Adriana looked at him and said "I'm hungry".
He looked for an eatery nearby. It was already six in the evening and they were an hour away from Adriana's house.
Luca turned off the car and as he was about to get off, Adriana grabbed him by his sleeves.
"Luca, I'm fine". Adriana stared at Luca right in the eyes. She saw guilt settled in them and smiled. "It's not your fault, okay?"
Luca's eyes were unsettled but after she smiled at him, the smile reaching her eyes.
"Thank you. And I'm sorry, yet again".
Adriana nodded and said"Time to eat". She got down from the car and headed towards the eatery.
Luca thought to himself. Did I just apologize twice, the same day?. I have never apologized to anyone in my life apart from my grandfather.
Luca felt something, something strange. He felt peace, safety, freedom from judgements. He was tranquil. He was not feeling insecure anymore. He liked it.

***Knock knock***
Luca was brought out from his thinking state. He rolled down the glass.
"You coming?". Adriana asked.  Wait she wants to go in with him?.
"You want me to....to come with you?".
Adriana was confused. Why won't she want him to come with her?.
"Uhh... Yes?". Adriana said. " Any problem?".
"Uhh no,no. I'm on my way".
Luca was thinking. Usually all the girlfriends he had, never wanted to come with him to a restaurant or eatery, only in the night. It was few minutes after six in the evening but it was still kinda bright, so he was shocked.
He came down from the car and entered the eatery. His eyes scanned the area, he was looking for Adriana.
"Hey, over here handsome".
He heard Adriana voice. He was shocked she shouted at him like that in publyand to see her smiling.
All eyes were on him. He walked over to the table and said"Why did you shout?".
"You were lost!". Adriana said with furrowed brows.
Luca looked around and saw everyone staring, he noticed how she wasn't ashamed of him.
"Isn't that Luca?. The brother that can't handle a woman?". Luca heard someone say.
He was already uncomfortable. Adriana squeezed his hand lightly, he looked up and she gave him an assuring smile.
"I'm here".
Adriana turned and looked at the person who said that.
"He's my boyfriend. If you have a problem, slam your head and please anytime you see my man in public, stay away and keep your words to yourself". Adriana said this as her eyes turned dark. Every person who wanted to say something, went quiet.
Luca was amazed. Was she just proud that he was her boyfriend? Wait did she just call him her boyfriend.
He was looking at Adriana still dazled. She was definitely going to be his savior, his paradise, his peace.
