Mitsuha POV:

"Mitsuha! Are you okay? You look ghastly." Taki exclaimed the next day as he saw me coming for breakfast. "I'm okay Tachibana-san." I replied softly, struggling to keep my eyes open. "Mitsuha. You can take the day off. Don't worry about the money. I'll arrange everything. Just take the day off." Taki said. I was just about to refuse when my vision blackened, and I tilted to the side. "Mitsuha!" The last thing I heard was Taki shouting my name as he caught me in his arms.

Taki POV:

"Mitsuha! Wake up! Mitsuha!" I shouted as I kept shaking her. "Taki nii-san! What happened to onee-chan?!" Yotsuha cried as she came rushing towards us. I picked Mitsuha in my arms before I turned to Yotsuha. "Your sister fainted so I'm taking her to the hospital." I said. "I'm coming too." Yotsuha dead-panned, making me nod.

"Hodaka! To the hospital! Quick!" I shouted as we rushed inside the car. Hodaka quickly drove us to the closest hospital, The Sohma General hospital. Mitsuha was rushed into the ICU while me, Yotsuha and Hodaka waited outside nervously.

Mitsuha POV:

I slowly woke up and looked around. Was I in a hospital? Did I pass out? The door suddenly opened, and I quickly pretended to be sleeping. "Doctor? How is the patient right now?" I heard a female voice talking to the doctor. "She's stable. But I don't know why she hasn't woken up yet." The doctor said, stilling me in the process.

That voice. I heard it only once, but I can never mistake it for another. I opened my eyes a little, and as I expected, I saw that handsome doctor in his mid-thirties who I talked to recently, Hatori Sohma-san.

That means, right now I'm in the Sohma General Hospital. My heart bloomed with hope. Maybe, I can finally collect evidence of Itsuki Tachibana's crime. But how? As I kept thinking of how I could get out of here without being noticed, I heard the door open and close while the room became eerily silent.

The next moment, the door opened again, and I could say it was someone else with the footsteps. Unlike Hatori Sohma-san's which were dignified, these footsteps were eerie and had a huge murderous aura.

I laid still on the bed while I felt the person lean on me as I felt a shadow pass over my face. The next moment, I shot open my eyes, pulled out my IV and stabbed it into the person's eye.

As the person cried in pain, I picked up the metal sterilization box and slammed it against the person's face, knocking him out in the process. 'Thankfully, it wasn't someone I knew.' I thought in relief.

I quickly got off the bed and opened the window before stepping outside and moved away on the wall protruding. I had just gotten out of sight when I heard the hospital door burst open. "Where is she?!" The doctor shouted while I kept moving away.

I didn't stay to hear the conversation between the doctors and the nurses as I saw an open window. Without thinking twice, I climbed up with a little support and sneaked inside the room. Luckily for me, it was the staff dressing room. I picked up a surgeon's uniform, mask and quickly wore it on before leaving the room.

A huge commotion was caused due to my disappearance, making me feel a little guilty. However, I had to do this. For Taki. For Tsukasa. Thankfully, my plan was going well without any hitches so far.

Yes. I indeed pretended to faint. As I 'fainted', I even mentioned Tohru-san's name. That seemed to have done the trick since I could say I'm currently in The Sohma General Hospital. In fact, the doctor who shouted earlier was none other than Hatori Sohma-san.

I quietly kept walking away from the frenzied doctors, acting as if I was also trying to search for the missing patient. As I did, I managed to reach the security room where all the CCTV footages were visible.

I barged open the door, startling the person in charge of monitoring the footages. "There's a missing patient. May I please check the CCTV footages?" I asked, making the security guard nod.

I strode inside the room to the person, while he kept scanning each camera. The next moment, I quickly hit the person's neck, making him loose consciousness. 'Suzume-chan. Thank you so much.'

Prior to keeping my plan to action, I went to meet Suzume-chan and borrowed her mother's manual on how to become a nurse. In that, I saw certain acupoints which when pressed, can cause a person to pass out.

'Okay. Here we go.' I typed a date, precisely Shinta Takagi's death date in the dashboard, giving me a set of videos recorded that day. I scanned through the videos and finally came across the video footage taken from Shinta Takagi's room.

Without wasting any minute, I transferred those videos into my phone. However, the next moment, I felt a sharp pain in my neck, before I fainted.
