Sometimes I have dreams.
I dream about us being friends.
About me sending you a friendly text.
About me waiting for what you would send next.
Where you are interested in what I do
And so am I about the things that make you, you
Sometimes I have dreams.
I dream about us remaining friends.
About us still spending time.
About us still having that little contact.
Where you still enjoy my company
And so do I because despite what's changed,
you are still kind.
Sometimes I have dreams.
I dream about us still being friends.
About you still being a decent guy
About you still being someone on which i can rely
Where you still check in on me.
And where I still know what is going on in your life.
Yes, I do sometimes have these dreams.
Dreams about us still being friends.
Dreams so vivid that I believe them when I wake up.
And that I almost reach for my phone,
wanting to text you back.
