Chapter 8

~Break time~
*both Jin Hye and Kyungsoo's POV*

*Kyungsoo's POV*
The bell finally rang. I closed my reading book, got up, and literally sprinted for the door. I didn't care if I got in trouble again, I just felt that I HAD to avoid Jin Hye's gaze. I wonder what she now thinks of me. Little teacher's pet finally got detention! Whoop de doo. I walked to my locker, getting my materials needed for next period. "Ohh please tell me I don't have the same class as Jin Hye next! Spare me from dying of embarrassment!" I prayed.

*Jin Hye's POV*
As the bell rang, Kyungsoo got up and bolted for the door. I looked at Mrs. Park to see if she noticed him run. She was looking at her phone, probably texting someone. Thank goodness! Kyungsoo, what was he thinking?! Does he want more trouble?! I walked to my locker, getting everything I needed for second period. Afterwards, I walked to the benches. "Oppa!" I yelled. Kyungsoo looked up, quickly bringing his sleeves to his cheeks. "Oppa," I said, this time standing in front of him. "Oppa..don't be sad! It's our last year of college! We can't cry now!" I said, trying to encourage him. "I know I shouldn't feel sad. It's just that, well, the fact that I have detention makes me feel so uncomfortable. And as you can see, depressed," he said.

*Kyungsoo's POV*
Once I heard Jin Hye's voice, I literally jumped. I didn't want Jin Hye to see me like this, to think I'm weak. "You've done it now Kyungsoo, jalhaesseoyo!" I thought. Jin Hye came up to me and told me that I shouldn't be crying because it's the last year of college. I couldn't believe that I was crying over getting detention. For Pete's sake, some people earn themselves FIVE detentions in one day. Why am I crying?! Especially in front of Jin Hye?! Calm down Kyungsoo, calm down. Once I told her how I felt uncomfortable and depressed, she replied right away. "Oppa, you know what? We both know this is already seeming like one crappy day. But we can make it a bit more positive or negative. That choice is up to us. JUST us. I would love to make it a more positive day! How about you oppa?" "Of course I want to make it more positive!" I replied. "Really? I don't believe you!" Jin Hye said. I gave her a look. "If you want me to believe you, smile." Jin Hye said. I smiled. "And then say, 'I will try to make this day more positive. Thank you Jin Hye!'" Jin Hye continued. I laughed, then smiled for real. "I will try to make this day more positive. Thank you Jin Hye!" I said, with a huge smile on my face. What would I do without Jin Hye?

*Jin Hye's POV*
I finally got Kyungsoo oppa to laugh and smile! And say thank you to me, yep, I'm proud of myself! "Oh, oppa! Here's your jacket! I don't want you to get in trouble again!" I said. I removed his jacket and handed it to him. My shirt felt dry now. "Araso. Gomawo Jin Hye," he replied. "Ehh no problem! That's what friends are for, right?" Honestly, I wish we were more than friends Kyungsoo, I wish you knew that.
