My eyes are dry
My mouth is numb
Something in my chest
is trying to find its way
out from my lungs,
but nothing comes out
It's almost as if
nothing is there
My heart's been ripped raw
My chest pounding
Some person I know
seems to be causing this
She comes in and out
It's almost like she's doing
this on purpose
She's everything I see
until she's nowhere in my sight,
like she was never there
Gone far away
once my breathless voice
drifted out into the air
Even with her gone
I can still feel her cold breath
on my face and neck
I can see it linger in the air
And I can still feel it everywhere
slowly breathing in and out
