Acception of Rejection (Part One): Duncan POV

"I dare you to ask for sex from that guy" I smirked as I pointed to a guy with dreads, popping his knuckles drinking on his black coffee. Bridgette looked at him and gave me a devilish smile as she accepted the dare. Geoff glared at me and tried to stop Bridgette from doing it. Geoff, Bridgette, Courtney, Tyler, Lindsay, and I all went out for coffee at this little artsy shop called "Garden 'le Choco" and were playing truth or dare. Lindsay was joining us for the first time since high school, for she became highly antisocial and quiet. "don't do it bridgette, he might take you seriously and rape you or some wacked up shit" Geoff said sternly to his girlfriend. "you think he'd really rape her in a coffee shop full of people?" I asked raising an eyebrow. Geoff then leaned back and a scowl turned up on his face. "I accept your dare" she said walking over to the man. "wanna fuck?" she asked, slamming herself on the table making the man spill coffee all over himself. "what the hell?!" he bellowed getting up and towering over Bridgette laying on the table. "I'm sorry, I don't know what got into me!" she laughed getting off the table. everybody at our table was trying to stop laughing and snickering, even Geoff. "you're a freak" the man said storming out of the shop. "did ittttttt" Bridgette sang as she skipped back to our table and the hippies in the shop gave her a round of applause, witnessing the scene. she bowed to the fellow customers and sat down in her seat. "nice job" I said punching her arm. Geoff then took Bridgette and made out for a good 20 seconds. Geoff then broke away from the kiss. "truth or dare?" he asked raising an eyebrow at me. "c'mon geoff, you know me" I said leaning back and throwing me feet on the little table. he then looked around the shop and his eyes landed on a black haired, skinny, tanned girl. "your dare is to get that girl's number by the time we leave the shop" he said smirking. I got up from the table and looked at the girl. "watch me work my magic boys" I said winking at Geoff and Tyler. I walked over to the girl. she was strolling through her laptop while drinking her chai tea and wore a grey beanie paired with a long sleeved tan shirt and a plaid scarf and black leggings with knee high grey boots. she was cute, and had a nice body too. I swooned over to the table and sat on a seat next to her. she jumped and turned her attention towards me. "um yes?" she asked in a cute raspy voice. "sorry, I just couldn't help but come and sit with a cute girl like you" I said smiling at her, making her blush. "i-im sky" she said smoothing out her hair. "Duncan" I replied. "so what do you like to do?" I asked her. "well I like to draw, paint, craft, play with animals, go hiking, swimming, and anything athletic" she said finishing her tea. "you sound fun" I said playing with her hair. her cheeks were now flushing with a dark red as she giggled. "may I have your number? I don't want to pass by on a girl like you" I said winking. "uh yeah I'll just write it down, write yours too" she said as she slid a slip of paper to me. I silently cheered as I wrote my number down. we then exchanged numbers and she clipped it in her watercolor wallet. "I have to go" she said smiling at me getting up from her chair. "bye" I said kissing her cheek as I got up as well. she then giggled as she kissed mine back and rushed out of the shop.
I came back to the table and showed Geoff the number. "mission accomplished" I said popping the 'plished'.
"nice work dude" he said fist bumping me. we then paid our order and left the little cafe. I was proud of myself, i mean, I scored a cute girl! maybe I can settle down....im getting ahead of myself. but whatever! I think I can get a girlfriend! I walked humbly back with the crowd back to Geoff's house, feeling good with myself. I had forgotten to push Courtney's wheelchair, for I always did it. but somebody would have to replace me, for I wasn't gonna be around her now that I can get somewhere with Sky.
