You blinked awake, eyes slowly taking in your surroundings. Last night's events came rushing back to you, as did the sore pain all over your body. Glancing up, you met the worried gaze of your ever-caring mother.

"Hey, sweetheart," she smiled, pressing a kiss to the top of your head. "How are ye' feelin'?"

You groaned as you took your head off her chest. "Like I got hit by a lorry."

She caressed your forehead sympathetically. "I'm sorry, kiddo. How 'bout ye' just rest for today and see how ye' feel tomorrow?"

"Okay."

Kim's frown deepened. You never in your fifteen years of life had ever agreed to rest. You were always doing something. Always. After all, you'd said numerous times that the quote you lived by was "Gotta go fast!". If you'd admitted to being in pain the night before and were willing to lay in bed all day, then you were seriously feeling like shit.

"I'm just gonna make a call, honey. I'll be right back."

---------------------------

"Hey, Steph," Kim greeted, stepping outside. "How are ye'?"

"Hey, Skippy," the Aussie said. "I'm good, you?"

"Fine," the Scot responded before clearing her throat. "Listen, ye' know how we have that really important meeting later that we absolutely cannot skip?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Do ye' know anybody that can watch Y/N? I can't leave her by herself."

"I know just the person."

---------------------------

"Hey, kid," Mackenzie smiled, placing a hand on your shoulder. "Miss me?"

You craned your neck to the side with some difficulty. "Hi, Mac."

"Thank you, Mackenzie," your mom stated, grabbing her kit bag before slipping on her shoes. "I'll be back as soon as I can. Call me if you need anythin'."

"Alright."

As soon as she was out the door, you turned to the older Keeper. "Wanna play Mario Kart?"

"And kick your ass?" the West Ham captain smirked. "Gladly."

---------------------------

"Hi, Mearps," you waved cheerfully at the Englishwoman on the phone. "Ye' should come visit sometime. I just kicked Mac's ass on Rainbow Road."

The Aussie flushed. "No, you didn't!"

You snatched the phone from her grasp, panning it towards the TV to show Mary the leaderboard. "I did too!"

The Lioness laughed. "Nice job, kiddo. Show Macca how it's done."

The Matilda scowled playfully. "You two are bullies."

---------------------------

"Maaaaac," you whined, stretching upward. "I'm tired."

She glanced up from her phone. "Then go to sleep."

You squirmed about for a few minutes, unable to get comfortable.

It didn't take long for Mackenzie to notice your distress, gently taking your head and guiding it to her lap. "Feel better, kiddo."

It was nice. You and her gotten along incredibly well despite only having met each other on a few occasions. She was like the cool older sister that you never had. Soon enough, the hand caressing your forehead quickly lulled you to sleep.

-----------------------

"Girls!" Kim called. "Ye' alri-"

The Midfielder stopped midsentence, a smile blossoming on her face as her eyes landed on yours and Mackenzie's snoring forms.

You were curled up, head resting on the Australian's lap with a blanket over you. One of your hands loosely gripped at Mac's while the other lay limply next to you.

Mackenzie Arnold, the brick wall of the Australia Women's National Team, had her head thrown back awkwardly, mouth wide open as one of her hands rested idly on your forehead.

Kim approached quietly, snapping a quick picture to send to the respective Arsenal and Scotland groupchats. She'd be damned if she didn't share the wholesome sight in front of her with close friends.

---------------------------

"Finally awake, I see," your mom joked as you and Mackenzie shifted simultaneously. "Good nap?"

Mac yawned. "Yeah, really good nap."

"Mhm," you agreed. "Beatin' Macca in Mario Kart five times over took a lot out of me."

"Shut up," she turned red. "That never happened."

"Sure it didn't," you scoffed as your eyes narrowed. "Why are mine and Mac's phones blowin' up?"

"Oh," your mom grinned sheepishly. "I guess somebody leaked it already."

Mackenzie grimaced. "Leaked what?"

It was then you saw the embarrassing picture of you and Mac, asleep in equally awkward positions. "MUM!"

---------------------------

"She's famous!" Caitlin sing-songed as she, Steph, and Kyra strutted into the living room. "You're number one on trending on Twitter!"

"Shut up," you flushed, hiding your face in Mac's shoulder. "Why is that picture trendin', anyway?"

"That's not what's trending," Kyra smirked. "It's your new world record."

"What-"

"Most saves in a single Football Match!" Caitlin exclaimed, much to Steph and Kyra's amusement. "Twenty-nine!"

You shrunk. "Stooooop."

Mackenzie stood up, pushing the Forward jokingly. "Yeah, shut up, Cait."

"Have you stolen my best friend?" the Gunner turned to you, hands on her hips. "Come on, get your own!"

You stuck out your tongue. "Too late."

"I hate you."

"Mac, she's hurtin' my feelin's."

The Australian Keeper tackled Caitlin to the floor. "Bad Cait!"

You smirked evilly. "Yeah, bad Cait!"

She scrunched up her nose in displeasure. "Fuck you!"
