Love the feedback, guys. I love you all so much. The progress made on the story and the reception have easily made this my most read, commented on, and voted story in as short of time as it's been out.
I've also come to realize that I have never given you all a schedule to reference for uploads and what not.
I try to upload every two or three weeks on a Thursday or Friday. I write between academy courses and any time when I can squeeze in roughly 8000 words or more per chapter.
I also try to proof read from time to time, but sometimes a few things slip through the cracks when I transpose my writing to Word. Key instance being in last chapter when I wrote "Echo helped" instead of "Echo yelped."
Despite being grammatically incorrect for the passage, the editor didn't pick it up because the words did make sense on their own but not for the rest of the passage.
With that being said, if you see something, feel free to bring it to my attention and I'll fix it!
My last word for you wonderful readers, though. A quick break from your break from reality here, but in a few months, I'm going to be a police officer. A full blown, certified, commissioned police officer patrolling the streets and everything.
The world is nasty right now and I'll be dealing with that every single day I punch in. People don't value life as well as they used to, and I don't want to scare you by saying this, but it's not the safest of jobs.
If you notice that I haven't uploaded or made a comment on my profile in a long time...
Just so you all aren't left in the dark. If something happens, I'll try and let you all know that I'm at least living and healthy. This is the way my life will be from now on. I'll do the utmost to ensure that I go home at the end of the day, but in some instances, there's only so much I might be able to do before I answer a higher call.
I want to bring attention to the artist I have been talking to for quite a long time regarding commissions for the characters: annon178
annon178 has been a great pleasure to work with, and will have everyone's favorite General coming out here soon if she isn't added at the bottom of this chapter. He's really fucking awesome.
There are many of you all that I hold near and dear to my heart. Longtime readers like Jetv20 who has been reading my stories for half a decade now or even before from when I first started. But for every person who reads this chapter, just know that I really do hold you all near and dear to my heart.
My discord is in my profile should you want to stop by and say hello. I'll try to respond in an orderly fashion.
If you know an artist who wants to draw, I'll be willing to pay to put even more depictions of the characters into the story as well. I think it'd be pretty fun, so if you guys got connections, send them my way.
With that being said, let's get it!

"I know that with The General, you tend to say certain things, but with others, you don't." Said Callie. Swan stared straight up at the ceiling of the cell, hoping that Callie would grow bored.
She had remained for the past half hour after Brixley and Benny left, and even the act of lying down on the slab didn't stop her interrogation.
