"Yes! More missions! More action!" Exclaimed Ava.
The dire wolf pumped a fist into the air as she walked with the rest of Sako to the commissary. A small trip was hastily planned between the six members and they walked the halls of the base to their new objective.
Soldiers coming and going would give them courtesy nods and respect as they passed by, and such a thing was never lost on Ava.
She returned them in kind, being cordial to those she passed by. Infantry and special ops held a common and mutual respect for each other. In most instances, one couldn't do the job of the other, and one couldn't do their job without the other in some way.
And so, Ava was always polite to passing infantry soldiers, so long as they were in return.
The commissary came up quickly and like always, Ava admired the modern and hip fashions, foods, and other things prevalent in anthro culture.
"Oooh! I'm gonna get some new shorts! Family Day is coming soon, and I'm gonna look absolutely fabulous when it comes!" Exclaimed Rita.
Ava smiled at the snow leopard, draping an arm across her shoulders.
"Yes, Rita! Family Day! A good time to start your own, now that the war is over!" Exclaimed Ava. Rita groaned and a few of the other girls groaned. Ava furrowed a brow and smiled as they walked.
"Echo! Izzy! You're both young and free! You should have no issues finding a nice and suitable male!" She said.
Callie huffed and Ana remained silent as Rita came out from under her arm and went over to Echo and Izzy.
"Hilarious, Ava. How about you let us worry about what we want to do on our own time, yeah?" Echo responded in kind and the trio chuckled, walking away.
Ava snickered and walked with Callie and Ana over to where the commissary sold food. While looking at some fruits and other small snacks, Ava caught a glimpse of some camouflaged pants and white fur.
"Camouflage. Swan." Thought Ava. She smiled deviously as she turned, seeing Swan and Phantom looking through an aisle filled with snack foods like chips and candy.
Swan was wearing the black APG top with his camo pants and boots, and Phantom was wearing a pair of sweat pants and a blue t-shirt with a graphic on its front.
"Awww, look! The little twerp and his boyfriend are out buying stuff." Jeered Ava. She smirked as she made sure that her displeasure for both Phantom and Swan was known.
Seeing the fox warm up to and hang out with the human was a gross mistake and she made sure that Phantom would know.
The human turned and looked her up and down, and he held a blank expression as Phantom looked at her and rolled his eyes.
"You're old." Said Swan, deadpan. Ava's eyes widened and she immediately felt her anger explode upwards in her mind.
"What the fuck did you just say to me? Say that shit again, Swan!" Ava exclaimed her anger loudly and took a step towards the human, but she was held back by Ana and Callie.
