"He trusts me." Thought Benny. He sat in the pilots chair of his Venom, running a few diagnostics.

Last night had been surprising for the dragon, waking up and finding the smaller human at his door.

Benny felt so proud of Swan in seeking someone out when he had a problem. Given the bad blood between Swan and anthros, for him to go to one for help was a monumental step towards a better future.

It made Benny feel a bit morose due to the fact that when Site 12 was attacked, he would most likely never see Swan again.

"Fuckin' A. That kinda stings. He's come so far." Thought Benny. The dragon narrows his eyes in a grim manner, focusing on the diagnostic.

"Then again... he's slippery enough that I wouldn't be surprised if he managed to find his way back. I'd better hope he doesn't know about my affiliations." Thought Benny.

Best case scenario is that everything planned by Hassan would go according to that very plan.

Swan and the other humans would be whisked away from the public eye and lost to history. The anthros would lay claim to Earth and all would be fine until the next issue arose.

And arise it would, because The Furled Fist had plans.

Or, Swan would survive and come back knowing that Benny and Herrick were moles. Then, Benny would simply count his minutes because Swan would not wait long before killing him.

If he could somehow escape Site 12 in one piece and make his way back...

"If he could do that... could he genuinely cause massive damage to our plans for the future? Oh God." Thought Benny. He brought a hand to his chin and then twirled one of his mustache wisps.

"I need to tell Hassan that he needs to take a different path with Swan... try different tactics than he would use with a normal human." Thought Benny. He nodded to himself.

"Because if Swan is anything, he isn't normal."

Hassan would need to damn near isolate Swan and study him like some sort of project just to proceed with him.

And as Benny sat in the pilot seat of his chopper, he found himself jotting notes on a small notepad so he could relay it to Hassan.

"All of this... man. I just realized how much I actually am gonna miss that little guy. He was a breath of fresh air in this god forsaken place." Thought Benny.

To him, much of the base irked him, as well as the APG in and of itself. The Furled Fist stood for what Benny knew and understood to be the best future for the world at large.

"Our way of life... it must be the one for the future. There cannot be another way." Thought Benny.

The Furled Fist knew what the future would hold, and they also knew what the future could hold. He knew the vision that they had and it was one that filled Benny with hope and the idea that things would be better in the end.

"Because we are doing what needs to be done. The APG would never understand... and neither does The Empire. They just don't get it about the humans." Thought Benny. His diagnostic finished and he switched to the next one.

It's why he found himself resonating with Swan every moment he met with him. It's why he found himself advocating for and standing with the human.

Swan despised both The Empire and The APG.

"If things had been a little bit different, I think he would have made a perfect candidate for our righteous cause." Thought Benny.

Such an idea as seeing Swan work with them in paving the path for a better future really made Benny happy. He began smiling in the seat of his chopper, looking at the diagnostic screen.
