Part 4

A week later:

The week was terrible, Sarah's morning sickness wasn't just in the morning, she threw up every day and it was hard for her, she was tired most days, she didn't work much in the shop only twice during this week, the rest of the week she stayed at home and slept, the pregnancy took a lot out of her, John B was there and helped her with everything most days he stayed at home with her and meanwhile the rest of the Pogs worked in the shop and sometimes he went to work.

Today is her first ultrasound she is really nervous but also excited to see their baby for the first time, she was afraid there was something wrong with the baby
Because she kinda has a bad feeling...

Everyone is sitting in the living. room except for Cleo and Pope who work in the shop , talking to each other ,for another hour John B and Sarah have to leave for the appointment , Sarah sat next to John B and rested her head on him
"Hey baby are you okay?" he whispered to her because he noticed she was a little off "yeah just a little stressed", "about the appointment ?" she nodded
"Don't worry about it I'm sure everything is fine" he said kissing her head,
"Do you want something to eat?" he asked looking at her,
"No, I'm not hungry, I'll eat when we get back," she answered, "Are you sure?"
She nodded and he kissed her cheek.
"I'm going to get dress " Sarah told him and went to their room,

"Sarah we have to go" John B said from the living room waiting for Sarah to come, "I'm coming just a second " she said from their room

"Hey" she said to him and kissed him "Hey ready to go?"
"Yes let's go" she said, "Sarah and I are going" John B informed JJ and Kiara "good luck guys" Kiara said "thanks" Sarah replied and they left the house.

They arrived at the doctor's office, waited for her to arrive, they were stressed mainly Sarah and he noticed it "Don't worry my love" he said and she looked at him she didn't say anything just held his hand,
The doctor entered the room, "Hi, I'm Dr. Kate, I'll do the ultrasound for you today!," Dr. Kate said and sat down next to the couple, "Hi, nice to meet you," Sarah said, still holding John B's hand.

"We'll start with a few questions to see if everything it's alright ," Kate said taking a sheet of paper and a pen from the drawer to write down Sarah's answers, "Is this your first ultrasound?"
She asked and Sarah nodded, "Does your family have a history of miscarriages?", "Not that I know of," Sarah answered, "alright , does your family have a history of gestational diabetes?" Dr.Kate asked "um yes my mom had" Sarah answered worriedly ״it's there any problem with that?" Sarah asked , "You might also have gestational diabetes because it's hereditary, but we can't know if you have it until week 22, so don't worry about it." Doctor Kate answered her and Sarah nodded, "When did you find out about the pregnancy?", "Just a week ago", "And during this week did you drink alcohol or smoke?" she asked, "No no", "Okay, everything sounds good!, let's start, Sarah lie down here" she said and Sarah lay down on the bed and John B was standing next to her,
"Put your shirt up a bit... Perfect, I'll put on you this gel now, it's a bit cold and you'll feel a bit of pressure, it shouldn't hurt at all" she said and applied the gel to Sarah's stomach. She placed the probe and moved it A little bit , "The black dot on the screen" she said and pointed to the screen "This is your baby" Kate said, and Sarah started to tear up from excitement, John B didn't let go of her hand and didn't stop smiling, "Okay according to the size of the baby you are eight weeks at this point of pregnancy the symptoms are nausea, fatigue, dizziness and headaches, do you have these symptoms?" Doctor Kate asked, "Yes I have most of them" Sarah answered, "Totally normal, I can get you some nausea medicine, it will help you" the doctor offered  " I would love that thank you."
"Now let's hear the heartbeat" Kate said and the room was filled with the sound of the baby's heartbeat,

Tears started to fall from John B's eyes, "Oh my God" Sarah said still in tears and John B kissed her head. "Do you want a picture of the ultrasound?" she asked, "Yes, thanks" John B said and Kate brought him the ultrasound picture

"Okay, everything looks fine, your baby is completely healthy, every month we will have another ultrasound, at week 20 this ultrasound of the halfway point is very important" Kate said as Sarah got out of bed, "at week 22 we will have an appointment where we will do a sugar loading and three blood tests to see If you have gestational diabetes, I'm already telling you that the chances are that you will have it because you have first-degree hereditary and it will probably put you in a high-risk pregnancy, but until the sugar loading session, don't worry about it at all, gestational diabetes only starts from week 21, so you're fine" Kate explained "that's all for today, I'll see you next month!"
"Bye thank you so much" they said and left the office.

They are on their way back home, Sarah with one hand on her stomach and one hand holding the ultrasound picture she hasn't taken her eyes off of since they got in the car, she was a little stressed because she might have gestational diabetes but she barely thought about it she thought about the baby she grew, their baby inside of her she can't wait for him or her to arrive, how is that possible to love someone you haven't even met?, "Are you okay?" he said looking at her "Yes, I'm really happy" she replied,
He put his hand on her stomach caressing her.

They got home from the appointment , saw everyone eating lunch, "Hey guys we're back" John B said as they entered the house,
"Hey, sit down we order pizza" Kiara said and they sat down with everyone
"How was it?" Cleo asked, "It was really good, we have a picture, look" Sarah said and showed everyone the picture of the baby, "I don't see the baby" JJ said and made everyone laugh "Dude it's not funny I Really can't see the baby" JJ repeated himself "That's the little blob over there" John B explained to him and pointed to the spot, "Oh my god that's so cool, congratulations guys " Kiara said, "Thanks Kie, " Sarah said hugging Kiara.

Everyone was sitting outside. talking, except for Sarah who was super tired and was about to go to sleep but a knock on the door disturbed her. It was Kiara, "Hey Sarah how are you? I didn't get to talk to you about how was your appointment today" Kiara said as she entered the room and sat down with her on the bed, "It was fine, we heard the heartbeat it was really cool, she asked me some questions and apparently there I have gestational diabetes it's a bit stressful to be honest" Sarah told her, "but there's something I need to tell you" Sarah said "What is it?"
"I really want to tell Weezy about this, like she's my little sister and she deserves to know and I've missed her so much, but she lives with my dad and Rafe and I don't want them to find out right now," she said, "Right now? Are you going to tell them sometime?" Kiara asked, "To my dad maybe, Rafe no absolutely not , I don't know what I think about telling my dad"
"maybe arrange to meet Weezy somewhere? Im sure she'll love to"Kiara offered, "I'm afraid she's mad at me I abandoned her Kie, I left her alone" Sarah said looking down, "You can't know, it's better to try than not know, just try" Kiara said, "Yes you're right "Sarah said yawning , "Go to sleep Sarah, I'll talk to you tomorrow" Kiara said getting up from the bed, "Bye Kie thank you" Sarah said smiling at Kiara and she left the room.

An hour later:

John B entered their room and saw that Sarah was dead asleep, John B was also tired and decided to join her, John B took off his shirt, remained only with pants and got into bed hugging Sarah, his touch made her wake up, "Shit, sorry Sarah, continue sleeping" he whispered to her, "It's okay" she said in a tired voice and hugged him tightly, "Are you okay?" She nodded and closed her eyes and went back to sleep.
