Have you ever wondered what it's like to have all your happiness taken away from you? It's as if the light you thought was not enough to illuminate the happiness in your heart fades away, and at one point, you eventually realise that family is everything. You have it all, but the one thing that brought you happiness was gone.
A silent figure sits near the balcony, draping a red velvet scarf above her body. Her hazel eyes gaze at the rising sun with hope yet a hint of pain. Is there value to human life when spinning in a mote of dust in the vastness of emptiness?
'What's the point?' a voice filled with pain, curiosity, and hope said.
Our protagonist, Shambhavi, has yet to learn what her future holds or if she even has one. Like billions of people who hold hope close to their hearts, this young woman does too. In the heart of Chennai, where the land meets the sea, she watches the waves crash upon the surface, looping back and forth like a never-ending process.
As she sits there for God knows how long, her mind wanders, and she tries to keep it in check. Meditation is challenging when your soul is not feeling calm, or is it to calm your soul?
As she tries to close her eyes and immerse herself in the soundless blackness to alleviate the pressure, it's as if her heart wants to escape her ribcage like a bird yearning to fly out of steel cages. Only it won't kill the latter.
