The arena is filled with all the people of Hastinapur awaiting a glimpse of their royal princes; each person in the crowd has different thoughts towards each prince. Some elders want to see Yudhishthir, aka Dharmaraj, as they call the eldest of the Princes, who always remained grounded and followed the righteous path since he was a youngling. Other young men want to see the power of Prince Bheem, the second eldest of the Pandavas and Princes, known for his strength and love for food. Others want to see the handsome Prince Nakul as the young women in the crowd wait to get their sight blessed with the beauty of the most handsome prince of the realm. And some want to get a glimpse of the youngest Pandav Sahadev, who is very knowledgeable in medicine.
But many, or almost all, want to see the middle Pandav Arjun, who is not only righteous but mostly known for his excellent archery skill that has been said none could overpower him. Yes, the people of Hastinapur have their liking a tad higher to Pandavas since they loved Pandu, their former king and how his demise caused the biggest loss to the Kingdom. Even though Dhritarashtra is a good king, none could fill the void that Pandu left. Even with 100 brothers, the Kauravas are not seen as the same level as Pandavas. It is hurtful, but that's the truth.
The Royal Elders made their way into the arena. King Dhritarashtra, Pithamah Bhisma, and Mahamantri Vidur walked in with people and started chanting praise for their King and the elders of Hastinapur.
'Long Live King Dhritarashtra!' echoed throughout the crowd, a proud smile formed on the lips of the blind king, and his heart swelled with happiness and fullness. This was the day he had been waiting for so long.
Bhisma walked like a lion, his vision a guide to his blind King. He also had a look of pride in his eyes. Vidur, with his eyes soft and his smile, prayed to all the gods, thanking them for this day.
The Raja guru Kripacharya and Dronacharya entered the arena, and the crowd went silent to pay respect to both Gurus. The guru of the Royal Princes joined the Royals and took their position. The son of Guru Drona stood next to his father, eyeing the crowd around them.
Kripa started his speech by welcoming the people of the nation, the people of Hastinapur; 'The day had arrived to witness our kingdom's precious Princes who had completed their education under the great guru Dronacharya, who prepared all our Princes with the utmost skills and knowledge. Today will be the day that we, as a people, can see them in action, as you all gathered to witness the teaching and strength each prince of Hastinapur has to offer to protect our mighty Kingdom' Cheers erupted as Kripa's speech made people happy and excited.
Drona stepped forward with a look of pride. 'Today will not be a show of just strength but to pay as an honour to each of my students who spend years under my care to learn what they have learned. Today, it's not about fighting but projecting the strength and hardship they faced over the years. So please, let's start welcoming our Princes of Hastinapur.' Whistles and claps were heard throughout the arena, and Dhritarashtra's heart swelled with love and pride again.
In the distance up in the tower sat the Queen along with Raja Mata Kunti, whose lips blossomed with a smile to see all the actions that might happen today; along with them sat the one and only Princess of Hastinapur, Dusshala, whose smile could make anyone sorrow disappear. She and Kunti narrated how everything looked around them to Gandhari, who listened keenly as a way to paint the picture of this perfect day in her mind and heart.
