I'm demotivated and tired because my stories on Wattpad are receiving very few votes and comments, if any. I put my heart into these stories, but they sit there with little engagement. It's making me consider taking down my work from Wattpad and just writing for myself in my drafts instead of updating it publicly. It feels like nobody would miss my stories, considering each chapter I've written and updated with so much effort has very few votes and almost no comments. Either my stories suck, and I am not a good writer, or it's just how this works.
Unlike other authors I've seen who demand votes and comments, I could never do that because it goes against my ethics. I want people to enjoy my books, but it's disheartening when there's very little feedback or interaction. You guys don't even have to vote; just a comment about what you like and dislike or your thoughts on a character would make my day. That's the only positive thing about writing here, as I don't get any money or anything out of this.
I'm not even sure if I want to continue on this platform because I don't think I'm going to get anything here. I'd rather just unpublish and then write for myself in silence and in my docs because that is much better than this.
