The dinner hadn't gone so well with Walter.

It was short simply because Lavender wasn't feeling up to the task and was annoyed at how Domen ditched her and got her mugged in the process.

Not like it's it's fault, but if he only allowed her to get in, she would have been spared the drama from hearing death whispering in her ear when the gun was pointed to her forehead.

"Dinner tomorrow too?" Walter asks as he watches Lavender nearly throw herself out of his car as she steps out. "And when you feel like you can talk, I'll be waiting."

"Sorry I'm being grumpy, but it's been a bad day." Lavender smiles up at Walter as she holds the door to his car. "Goodnight, Walter."

"Night." He smiles back before she closes the door. He watches her walk to her front door before leaving off into the night.

Once he's finally gone, Lavender reaches her front door and pauses, remembering that her keys were in the purse she got stolen.

Cursing under her breath and walks back to her flight of stairs and takes a seat when she remembers so vividly leaving her spare keys in the house on the kitchen table.

"My report, don't forget." The voice she doesn't want to hear fills her ears, getting her to glare up at the man who is clearly just coming back from a run as streams of sweat run down his neck. "Saw Walter leaving and thought it was best to remind you."

Lavender stares at him blankly as she tries to convince herself that it isn't this fault, though her mind is screaming at him and cursing his very existence.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Domen asks as he leans onto the stair railing while opening his flask of water, chugging it down.

"I got mugged because of you." Lavender frowns deeply as she furrows her brows at him, getting him to choke on his water from the unexpected news. "Luckily I put my phone in my pocket. But I left my credit card at home, I don't know if it was a good thing or not, Walter had to get me. For a moment I thought you were bluffing but you really didn't come back for me."

"... What did you get mugged with?" He asks as he runs the back of his hand against his lips once he clears this throat and takes a seat on a statue slightly lower from hers. "A knife?"

"He held a gun to may waist and when I didn't give my purse to him he held it to my forehead." Lavender says as she shifts her gaze away from Domen and up to the sky as she tries to figure out how she'll get into her house. "My keys were in there... Now I have to think of a way to break in-."

"You had a gun pointed at you and you are only thinking about your keys?" Domen asks with a forced chuckle as he furrows his brows at her. "What's wrong with you?"

"Maybe if I got shot you'd start caring about people around you." She says in a mummer as she gets up from the stair and walks to the door. "If you picked me up I'd be in bed.... Enjoying sleep right now..."

Hearing nothing from him, she grabs her door handle and tries to jiggle it open, almost hoping she hadn't locked her front door in the morning.

Alas, it's locked tight.

"Can I borrow a knife-." She's cut short when she noticed a masculine hand on the door beside hers and before she could turn herself, she's turned against her will. "What are you-."

"I came back for you but I didn't see you." Domen says as he pins her against the door, getting her face to flush entirely. "I thought you didn't leave the gate and when I went back and found you weren't there, I was suddenly called somewhere."

Lavender widens her eyes not at what he's saying but how light his oceanic eyes look close.

"... Uh... Okay... Sorry." She stammers and glances towards the floor as her stomach begins to turn.
