Friends...?

Domen chuckles as he rinses the soap off of his hair as he hears the water and shampoo runs down his ears, sliding down to his back.

Shit... Why do I want her more...?

He sighs as he fully gets rid of the soap and opens his eyes, staring into nothing but the tiled shower cubicle.

Finally the remaining soap off of his body, he steps out of the shower and wraps a towel just around his waist before walking out with another towel in his hand that he uses to rinse off the excess water.

Stepping into the room, he spots Lavender waiting for her turn as she's on the phone, texting.

"I'm out. In case you didn't notice." Domen raises a brow as he walks over to the headboard.

After their little conversation in the car, Domen had stopped over by a tailor store and got himself a full new suit along with a black pencil skirt, a plain white T-shirt and jacket for Lavender.

Right after they had to take a shower and Domen would rather be found dead taking a shower at work.

So he bought a room at an expensive hotel and simply said he wanted a shower.

Pretty damn spoiled if you ask me.

Lavender nods her head and places her phone to the bed before getting up and paddling to the bathroom with her hair barely holding up in her loosely tied ribbon.

He furrows his brows as she closes the door, getting him to walk over to her phone.

The phone seems pretty damn expensive and from the way Lavender always acts about expensive things, he's take a wild guess that Cameron bought it for her.

Not that impressive anyway.

He almost rolls his eyes but stops midway when he notices the phone doesn't have a lock at all.

He takes a sit on the bed, caring less of the water he hasn't wipes off as he stares down at the messages she's been sending to the only number in her new phone.

Cameron saved as simply Camy.

That's disgusting.

He clenches his jaw as he scrolls up to the first message the two had sent to each other.

Mostly of Cameron asking how she is and if she's eating well or thinking less all for the sake of her pregnancy which makes Domen's stomach tighten.

Is... It really his?

He continues down the remaining list of messages to the newest ones where he asks where and is and why she isn't home at this time of the hour.

She's honestly reveals that she's with Domen, further assuring him that he shouldn't worry about it since she's just made Domen her friend and won't do anything 'bad'.

Domen chuckles at this as it almost ticks him.

He taps onto the 'tap to start Typing' space but is interrupted when his phone rings from the opposite end of his bed.

Getting up, he leaves Lavender's phone and walks over to his instead, only to have his heart thud when moment he notices it's the investor's number.

He quickly taps the answer button and places it to his ear as he sits down whilst feelings his knees shake slightly from his rapidly beating heart.

He runs his nervous fingers along his thighs as the call connects.

'Goodmorning, Mr Southren. I hope you are doing alright.'
