Lavender bites her lower lip as she stares at the ceiling, knowing too well that the water covering her body after the shower had well dried and replaced with beads of sweat.
Why.... Again?
She sighs as she glances to her side where Domen lays on his side, facing her with eyes that almost look drunk as a smirk lingers on his lips.
"It's like you were waiting for me to start the fire." He chuckles as he watches her roll her eyes and glance up at the ceiling, clenching her hold on the blanket. "You enjoyed it more."
Lavender sighs and sits up, getting him to follow as well as he watches her run a hand through her hair.
"Domen... Let's not do this again-."
Just like before, he presses his lips against hers while bringing his hand begin her neck and slipping his tongue into her mouth.
She grabs his shoulders and forces him back, earning a glare from her.
"Domen, please stop." She begs as she frowns at him, getting to sigh as he runs a hand through his hair.
"I'll stop when I have no option but to." Domen says as he tilts his head to the side. "That's my blood you're carrying."
"So now that you know it's yours... Is anything going to change or will things remain the same?" She asks as she watches him drop his gaze down to her stomach and reach his hand down to it, gently caressing it.
"What do you mean by that?" He asks as he asks as he glances up to meet his gaze.
"You're the father, won't getting married to someone else be... odd?" She asks as she watches him shift his gaze back down to her stomach instead as he moves his hand from it to her thighs, giving them a slight squeeze.
"I won't let you raise it on your own." He assures as he shifts his gaze to something in the room while letting go of her thigh. "I'm the father, after all."
"Domen you're literally avoiding the question." She hisses as she crosses her brows to her chest and shoots her gaze towards the window.
He chuckles only for a few seconds before frowning and leaning back down to the bed, staring at the ceiling.
"I have no control over it." He says before turning his head to glance at her. "I told you already, remember?"
She frowns and nods slightly as she glances down to her thighs instead.
"It was better if you didn't know, Domen." She shrugs her shoulders as she glances down at him. "Things would have been easier..."
"I'm just glad it's not his." Domen shrugs his shoulders and furrows his brows as he remembers something. "Anyway, why didn't you want to get home?"
Lavender moves her gaze from him and towards her toes instead, contemplating whether to tell him or not.
Domen to her still remains a mystery, his actions and what he's thinking is something she can't really comprehend just by looking at him.
For sure she felt the Domen that loved her was gone, even if he was there for a day that Sunday, and yet the same Domen that wanted her back then is back now, and a Domen that confessed his feelings for her.
Though he only said he liked her.
What could he do? To what extent could he possibly protect her?
"I thought of getting rid of it." She says as she brings her knees to her chest, getting him to widen his eyes as he stares at her, taken aback. "I really wanted to."
"Wait... What!?" Domen furrows his brows as he moves so he is sitting in front of her. "That's a decision I also have to make as well, that's not just your child, Lavender."
"I said I thought, not thinking." She rolls her eyes and he eases his shoulders but still feels betrayed she'd have gone through it... If she didn't stop herself. "I thought against it last minute because the doctor started spilling nonsense that made me think twice. I was mostly afraid because I felt you would force me to do it too. Because you clearly asked me if I took the pills and I refused like an idiot."
Domen sighs and brings his hand to the bridge of his nose, knowing too well she's telling the truth.
It did seem like he is against it entirely.
But it's happened, that's a different story.
"I know, that's my fault." He agrees as he nods his head while licking his bottom lip. "But I wouldn't have forced you into it."
"You said it would cause problems." She shrugs her shoulders and Domen raises his brows but remembers saying so.
Which reminds him why it's such a bad idea.
"Yeah... I wasn't lying on that one." He shrugs his shoulders as he glanced up to meet her eyes. "But I'll figure this out."
"Your mum threatened me and said she'll force me to get rid of it." Lavender says as she glances from his eyes and back to her laps. "She said she was going to pick me up yesterday... That's why I didn't want to be at home. I got scared."
Domen's eyes grow twice as large as he stares at her face while she says so. Horrified that his mother knew before he did. Mortified that his mother is taking action behind his back and keeping him in the dark.
Knowing too well what his family is capable of doing, Domen knows just how serious it is if his mother is working on her own to deal with it.
Simply put, she doesn't want it and doesn't want her son of husband to find out.
How would father react if my mother is behaving this way?
"Domen?" She asks as she glances at him. Getting him to blink slightly as he glanced back at her. "Why are you so quiet... You're scaring me."
"No I'm..." He jams as he glances back to her laps. "...I'm thinking."
Lavender raises her brows as she feels her stomach grow uneasy from how silent he's become when she expected him to be furious...
At least from how he's been acting.
"I'll handle it, okay?" Domen says after a while as he places his hand back on her thigh. "No one's going to force anything. I promise. I won't let anything happen to you."
"Okay." Lavender sighs in relief as she glances from him and towards the wall in front of them with a large tv sitting in the centre.
He's not going to stop the wedding after all.
Now it makes me feel like I'm against Evette... Gosh this sucks.
At least I've got what I wanted... His protection... Somehow.
"We should get back to work." Lavender says as she gets off the bed and grabs her bathing towel.
Domen clenches his jaw as he gets up from the bed as well, circling the bed and grabbing her shoulders, getting her to stand in front of him.
"I know that face, you're doubting me." He says as he tilts his head to the side.
She shrugs her shoulders as she glances down to his chest instead as a frown makes its way to her face.
"I don't feel safe, even if you've assured me. I still feel like I'm in danger." She says as she brushes his hands off, getting him to frown. "Maybe I'm in this on my own."
She circles around him and leaves into the bathroom, planning to taking another shower as Domen stares at the closed door.
Feeling... Unwanted.
