Scrolling through the endless stream of photos, Felix notices that's all she posts about.
Nails, cakes and candy.
She's like a child.
The next photo is of her standing in front of a person dressed entirely in a pink bear costume with a few kids also posing for the picture, her seeming even more excited than the kids themselves.
Her hair, unlike how he'd met her, in the picture is completely puffed up like cotton balls with loose strands of hair shooting out in all directions.
Clearly she has bad hair and probably didn't care that day to smoothen it out.
I guess the job forced her to take better care of her hair.
Hearing a soft curse from Lavender who is in fact right in front of him, he glances towards her, noticing how she's struggling to pack up the suitcase.
She doesn't even live here and already has a suitcase worth of clothes.
Domen is spoiling her a little too much.
"Can't you help her out?" Domen, speak of the devil, walks into the the livingroom while dragging yet another suitcase with obvious his clothes packed away.
"Not like it's any of my business, you bought too much in such a short time." Felix rolls his eyes but decides to help her anyway, walking to her and snatching the suitcase from her before opening it up and taking out the clothes that are restricting it from closing.
"H-Hey! I folded those!" Lavender hisses and grabs his wrist, getting Felix to sigh as he glances down at him.
"It's overloaded that's why it won't close. Leave some behind. Obviously Domen is planing on buying more clothes." Felix redirects his lazy gaze towards Domen who frowns down at him.
"She needed clothes." He shrugs as Felix clicks his tongue and avoids Lavender's attempt in putting the clothes back into the suitcase.
"Not this much." He mumbled and zips the suitcase, getting her to frown as she glances towards Domen with furrowing brows and pouted lips.
"Put the clothes back in, Felix." Domen sighs as he falls victim to Lavender's pitiful stare. "You're making her sad."
"Whatever." Felix sighs and gets up, grabbing the handle of the suitcase as he glances down at Lavender who redirects her pitiful gaze towards him. "We can put them in the truck as is, just get this and take it to the car."
He walks towards Domen and hands him the suitcase before walking back to the pile of clothes, gathering them into his hands as Lavender sighs out in relief.
"Don't buy more." He hisses as he shoots Domen a glare to which he shrugs to. "It's a waste of money."
"Not if she likes them." He says as Lavender grabs Felix's phone and her purse before walking towards the front door with the two.
Letting out a heavy sigh, Felix could tell he's not used to being around people and casually talking to them as they just did. Even if it was only about some clothes and whatnot, he'd never really just talked about something not related to his work or his vengeance.
Spending an entire night with two people he deemed as strangers and having dinner with them at the table felt odd.
But oddly... It made him feel a little less alone.
Felix's eyes drop down to Domen and Lavender who are now talking about a random flower Lavender had seen while walking to the car. They start to chuckle and laugh in front of him they walk to the gate.
Always having something to talk about, those two. It's like their entire life's dialogue is being written by someone and they never run out of things to say. Felix thinks to himself before turning his gaze up to the sky, watching a two birds fly by. Feels uncomfortable being around these two. They act like they are already used to me.
Especially Domen. Why isn't he trying to stay away from me, like I did?
"Lav, honestly, just go sit in the car at this point." Domen hisses as Lavender was trying to get the suitcase into the car and accidentally dropped it.
Felix furrows his brows as Lavender frowns at Domen and crosses her arms to her chest.
"Then I won't help you with anything else. I'm trying to be useful." She growls and walks away, walking to the back seat.
And somehow they always argue about really petty issues. Felix rolls his eyes and tosses the clothes over the suitcase before Domen closes it shut.
"Anything you didn't take? I already locked the front door." Domen raises his brows up to his older brother who gazes down at him for a moment.
"Not like I came with anything. Let's just get going. I'll drive." He says as he reaches into Domen's pocket where he saw him place the keys and fishes them out. "I have someone I need to pick up before we head off."
"... Okay." Domen raises a brow but glad he'll get to be with Lavender the entire time.
Felix and Domen get into the car and finally start off, driving away from their temporary home, even though it's a shame they have to move once more to avoid the wicked witch from the west.
Domen sighs as he opens up his window, letting the breeze from the outside slip into the car and carry the burden of stress along with it.
He has his brother back.
He had his beloved Lavender by his side.
And he has his baby on the way, healthy and still growing.
His eyes shift from the countless trees speeding by to Lavender who is just making herself comfortable as she places a pillow --that she didn't have to get but still took-- between her legs.
She glances up and meets Domen's gaze, getting him to smile at her as she furrows her brows.
"What?" She asks with a small chuckle and he leans down to her face, getting her cheeks to warm up.
"I'm just glad I chose you." He whispers and places a small kiss on her nose, getting her to lean away from him and wipe it. "Choosing you really gave me a lot."
"If you say so." She chuckles and leans to him instead, planting a small kiss on his lips. "I'm happy you chose me too."
"Mmh." He chuckles as he snakes his fingers behind her head and leans her lips back on his, closing his eyes as he enjoys the warmth her lips gave his body.
A warmth that he'd never felt with Evette's kisses, even if the kiss was genuine, he'd never really felt the warmth of a lover's kiss.
The bliss he'd feel just from pressing his lips against hers, feeling the softness and the mix of her breath in his mouth made him want more.
And more.
Like a drug to an addict, or alcohol to an alcoholic, Lavender is like a perfume to him, a neverending melody.
Kissing her always makes him want more of her.
Domen scoots closer to her, breaking the kiss as his love drunk eyes slightly open half way, gazing into her own eyes that stare at him with longing. He closes his eyes once more as he presses his lips to hers, getting her to comply as he slips his tongue into her mouth, allowing for their tongues to dance together in the mix of Colgate mint and breakfast breath.
Should be illegal how much I'm in love with this woman...
