You came back to consciousness slowly, your head reeling as you sat up; distantly you realized that you were sitting on a bed. Staring down at the soft blanket, you ran your and across the deep purple comforter. A familiar scent clung to the room, it had been the same one that was on the clothes you had been given.

Your head snapped up at the sound of a door swishing open, your heart swelled at the sight of Frieza. You were in his chambers. In a rush, you moved to get out of his bed, dizziness overtook you. Frieza was there before you could tumble out of the bed and hit your head.

Frieza pushed you back down on the bed, "Stay here, I will be back later."

Panic rose in your throat as he turned to leave, your hand shot out and grabbed a hold of his metal wrist, stopping him from leaving. He looked back at you from over his shoulder, "Stay... please."

His brows pinched together, and he sighed before sitting down on the edge of the bed, "I will stay till you fall asleep and that is all."

"Okay."

You pressed yourself further into the blanket, holding onto his wrist loosely; your eyelids hung heavily.

"Why did you let her hurt you?"

You blinked at him, "What do you mean? You knew, right?"

An indecipherable expression crossed Frieza's face, "No, I did not know... King Cold withheld that information from me..."

Relief filled your body and silence descended upon the room; you scooted closer to him but did not touch his body.

"Can I just talk?" You asked, speech slurring with exhaustion, "My brain won't shut up."

Frieza huffed but did not tell you to stop, he crossed his arms and kept himself turned away from you.

With a small smile, you started speaking again, "Back where I come from, it is rare for someone to not have a soulmate."

He turned to look at you when you raised your hand to show him the large grey splotch on your hand.

"And my mom, she has a bright blue soulmate mark on the bridge of her nose; you know it is kinda weird being around people who do not have them," You peered closer at his skin, "Do you have one?"

"No, now go to sleep," Freiza's voice was harsh. You made a face but did not fight back against him, curling further up in the covers. Sleep hit you faster than you expected, when you woke later on, Frieza was nowhere to be seen.
