"Secretary Kang, reschedule my meeting to 3 pm tomorrow. Yes, no questions now. Bye."
The bold and authoritative voice of Yeonjun was heard downstairs, which indicated he was finally home after a long day.

"Welcome back Yeonjun." Beomgyu approached a tired Yeonjun, who was sitting on the couch looking pissed off as usual. It was 11 pm, and Yeonjun wanted nothing but to go and plop down on his comfortable bed and fall asleep, and Beomgyu's irritatingly sweet voice was making him even more annoyed, but he decided to not snap today.

"You're still awake?"
Yeonjun asks, looking at a smiling Beomgyu sitting across from him.

"Does he ever gets tired of smiling?" Yeonjun thought to himself, as he mentally prepared himself to talk to his annoying husband for the night.

"Yes... I was waiting for you."
Beomgyu smiled at him warmly. He wanted to make Yeonjun happy as he felt lonely and bored in this big Mansion. He waits for him everyday, and he's glad that he's home today at least. He wants to build a good bond with his Husband, but Yeonjun is always too cold to him, and ignores him completely most of the days.

"Why so?" Yeonjun asked, raising his eyebrows in question. Why does he even bother to wait? Didn't he give him enough hints for a month that he has no interest in him and his talks?

Beomgyu hesitated, but finally he built up some courage to give him an answer.
"Because I care for you. But you...you always act cold to me and I'm always the one who tries to interact with you while you don't even seem like you want me here..."

"Well I definitely don't, if it isn't obvious already."
Yeonjun answered simply, with a bored tone. He was already tired enough, and the last thing he wanted was to hear Beomgyu's bullshit right now.

"Kudos to our moms for making you marry me, it's been 1 month, and I bet you have an idea of how I am. Why do you even care waiting for me? Are you dumb?" Yeonjun said, trying not to snap at Beomgyu.

Beomgyu got a bit sad when he heard Yeonjun's words. He nodded to acknowledge his point, but he's still going to try to warm his heart. He's anything but a loser.

"Yes... I really have no idea how to make you like me. You're always so busy with work, and I feel like you don't like me even a bit." Beomgyu replied with a sigh. He had no idea why and how he even fell for this man, when all he experienced was hurt and distance for a whole month.

"Well, do you?"
Yeonjun asked in return.

"H-huh?" Beomgyu stammered in confusion.

"Do you really like me like you say? Because the last time I checked, you were forced to break up with your ex and marry me for your father's company's sake. Drop the act Beomgyu." Yeonjun replied harshly. Love and shit, how does someone move on and fall in love so fast? Doesn't make sense to him at all.

Beomgyu was shocked when Yeonjun mentioned his ex. He had no idea what to say or do. All the confidence and expectations he had were shattered in just one sentence.

"How do you know about Soobin?"

"Duh, you thought I won't?"
Yeonjun chuckled in mockery.
"I have more sources than you think I do, Beomgyu." He added.

Beomgyu was now feeling too embarrassed even to look Yeonjun in the eye. When he's this embarrassed, he starts fidgeting with his fingers, twirling his wedding ring around his finger. He feels guilty... As he's still not telling him the whole truth.

"Now no need to do your fake act, drop it. It's annoying as hell."
Yeonjun replied in a cold tone, having no interest in continuing the conversation with him anymore.

Beomgyu sighed at his Husband's cold words. He knows he can't win if he's not even giving him a chance. So he gives in and decides to give him the whole truth.

Beomgyu's heart was beating fast as he was trying not to stutter when he spoke.
"Okay... I... I was forced to marry you... but I have genuinely fallen in love with you." He finally confessed, closing his eyes as he was embarrassed.

"In the span of one month?"
Yeonjun's sceptical tone of voice made Beomgyu open his eyes.

"Isn't that an insult to your ex, who you promised for a forever. How can someone move on and fall in love so fast?" Yeonjun said with a scoff. Beomgyu sounded straight up ridiculous right now.

Beomgyu felt hurt when Yeonjun mentioned his ex. He was trying to forget about him, but he mentioned the one thing he was trying to avoid. And to his question, he hesitated for a second but then answered him anyway.

"No... It's not an insult to my ex. My relationship with my ex was already falling apart, and we both were starting to hate each other. We never wanted to admit it, as we both didn't want to hurt each other more than we already did." Beomgyu explained.

It was true, even before Beomgyu married Yeonjun, he was having regular fights with Soobin, and they were on bad terms for a whole month, but none of them wanted to admit about the gap forming in their relationship. They were too afraid to mention the elephant in the room.

So when Beomgyu's father told him about Yeonjun, and when he first saw him, he was fascinated. He had heard a lot of things about him, and seeing him upclose made him question his sanity. How can someone be so beautiful and unreal? Was Yeonjun even a human being? Successful at a young age, rich, good reputation, and good looks. He was instantly attracted to his soon-to-be husband.

But after the wedding, things didn't go as he planned. Quite the opposite, Beomgyu kept falling for him day by day, while Yeonjun seemed to hate his existence. His luck was cursed in love relationships for sure.

"Well not my problem." Yeonjun's reply made Beomgyu come out of his train of thoughts.
"You're still annoying to me." Yeonjun added.

Beomgyu sighed, his heart felt like breaking. Why was it so hard for Yeonjun to see him? But one thing about him is, he never gives up.

He's used to solving hard equations, and if searching for Yeonjun's love is like searching the Value of X, Beomgyu would put all his theorems and formulas his heart knows, so he can find the X of Yeonjun's heart.
