After a little bit of sitting around, I walk out and around, still trying to regain myself. I can't believe my dad would do that or figure out why. He always liked Fuli, I'm pretty sure. Now that I think about it, he always tries to avoid her. He never even told her good job or thank you when she helped him or my mom.

It's all coming together. He never liked Fuli, but why? I can't figure this out before Zuri tries to talk to me again by saying, "Hey, Kion, whatcha doin'." I say, "Nothing much, just waiting for the guard to finish patrol." She says, "Why don't we hang out." I look at her skeptically and say, "Why?" She says, "Because we have nothing else to do." I sigh and say, "I guess." She smiles and says, "Okay." We walk around the pridelands and talk until she says, "Kion, what do you think of me?" I say, "What do you mean?" She says, "Am I pretty, or at least likable, I only have a few friends and none will answer honestly." I think for a second and say, "Well, yeah, you're pretty, and you can be annoying at times, but usually you're likable." She smiles and nuzzles me, saying, "Thanks, Kion." I nuzzle her back and say, "No problem." She blushes and says, "Do you like me, Kion?" I say, "As a friend, yeah, but I can't see you as more." She says, "Oh okay." She smiles, but before either of us say more, Tifu yells, "Zuri, come on, we're waiting." She says, "I gotta go, but it was nice talking." I say, "Yeah, I'll see you around."

She runs to Tifu, and I walk to the lair to see if everyone's back yet.
When I walk in their sitting around, so I say, "Hey guys, sorry about today." Bunga asks, "What happened?" I say, "Just some personal issues." Bunga says, "Okay, but are you okay?" I say, "Yeah, I'm fine." He jumps on my back and says, "I'm bored, let's do something." I laugh and say, "Like what?" He says, "I don't know." I say, "I don't know either." He says, "Baobab ball?" I say, "Sure." As we walk out, I see Fuli sleeping in the corner, so I say, "I'll be there in a second." I walk over to her and pounce on her, making her jump and laugh. I smile, and she says, "Kion, why." I say, "I wanted to talk." She laughs and says, "Really?" I say, "Well, I actually wanted to check on you. How'd today go?" She yawns and says, "It was fine kinda slow, but we made it." I say, "That's good, at least nothing bad happened." She says, "Yeah, Shujaa kinda took your spot for the day, though, so we were at almost full strength." I say, "Really? He doesn't seem like a fighter." Fuli says, "He's a cheetah we're all fighters." I chuckle and say, "Me and Bunga are gonna play baobab ball if you want to join." She says, "Probably not. I'm gonna rest." I say, "Alright, I'll see you." She says, "Bye, Kion."

As I walk out, I see Bunga and Shujaa playing already, so I say, "You started without me, really?" Bunga says, "Should've got here faster." I chuckle and join in.

*Time skip 1 hour*

After sunset, I walk back into the lair and ask Fuli, "Do you want me to sleep here tonight?" She says, 'If you're dad doesn't mind." I say, "My dad can suck it." As I cuddle up to her. She laughs and says, "What happened to the rule follower." I say, 'You." She looks at me and smiles before saying, "Gosh, you get so cheezy alone, and I love it." I smile at her and say, "Did you like last night?" She says, 'I loved it, I wish we could do it more." I say, "We can." She says, "Not with your dad." I say, "What he doesn't know won't hurt him." She says, 'I don't know, I don't want to get you into trouble." I say, 'We don't have to if it makes you uncomfortable, I just thought you wanted to." She says, 'I love you, Kai, but we can't, I'm sorry." I say, "It's alright as long as we stay friends, and it doesn't get awkward." She smiles and licks me on the cheek. She asks, "Did you eat?" I say, "I ate earlier." She says, "Good cause I didn't save you any." I laugh as she lays down to sleep.
